Rikk, sorry for your troubles. I can't offer much advice since I'm not a temp control guy yet, but I'll voice my suggestions even though some have already been said.
Make sure the none of the ematel coated deck is touching any of the coil
Make sure your posts are screwed into the base well.
Verify your posts are straight, and not touching the ematal base. (the posts that the screws secure into and come up thru the ematal base/deck)
The only other thing I can possibly think of is switch the screws to the opposite post, maybe the screws themselves are ever so slightly out of tolerance. Switching them from left/right?
