Well I broke down and purchased a squape reloaded with a w deck. Been through the gambit with most rta's including high end and basics. All I can say is that I am impressed and that this beast is a keeper. First build is 28ga, 5/4, 2.5mm coil - the flavors pop and the amount of vapor is quite amazing (more then I expected or was desiring). Read through most of this thread making the decision...well worth it!

Those 4 tiny holes apparently provide major juice flow. Many have problems with leaking. I have one, but haven't built it yet.

I was under the impression that i had found the right way to wick the b deck....unfortunately i was jut lying to my self. Came back after work to found it leaked a puddle of juice and drenched my sx350 mini :(
Prob is, i keep going back to it coz the vape is so stunning!

Some one please try mastering it and share with the rest!

What are the thoughts on the smaller tanks? I am going to try another deck and would like to make it shorter for everyday use out and about....

Do you mean the SqR 's' ? Well it's nice and compact.. Been rocking the VS and the 'S', for a few days now, really liking it :) but if u r a heavy user u might wanna carry a spare tank due to the reduced capacity..

That is exactly what I meant...I was wondering if the smaller tanks posed any other issues as opposed to the original. No issue with carrying a little extra as I am infrequently away for that long.

I am getting a little flooding on the wide (w) deck). I use tails on the cotton but it seems to feed to fast compared to my vaping (mtl in the morn, wide open by eve). How does the b deck compare?

I do find the W deck similar to the KF4 and GT2.. That the wicking part take a bit of careful placement, or it may not wick enough(I chain vape) .. For the B deck, once I figured out the coiling legs to go around the screws from the inside, and ample cotton, I had no issues whatsoever.. No leaks or dry hits at all. I left mine sitting on the table for days and no leaks too! ;) just make sure there is enough cotton to cover the 4 holes and it functions much like an auto RDA..

I've been using my R (s), dubbed the "SQump", with my B deck exclusively since I got it and it is fantastic. Vaping with this set up using kanthal has been an absolute joy, a denser and juicier vape that's a little better on flavor, and my coils can go a few extra days before rewicking is needed, which was an unexpected surprise.

I never got leaking or gurgling out of my W deck using the SQR but I would occasionally get dry hits when chain vaping, the B deck solved all of that - and still no leaking. I agree with chia, the B deck works like an auto-dripper. Though that added juice flow combined with the reduced tank capacity means my SQump can't get me through an entire day and night, but its a trade off I'm happy to make for the superior vape and sleeker profile.

Once my DNA40 gets back from RMA I'll start using the SQR to experiment with TC which has been kicking my .....

Next time I do I'll try to remember. Before my first build on the B deck I had watched this video (with the sound off cuz I dont speak German) to see how much cotton to stuff into the well and it's worked great.

Skip ahead to 11:00min for wicking.
