Negative? How so? I said it looked nice. He said "as good as a Provari." Now give me a break. I even said no disrespect intended. (...)

No disrespect perceived, in fact. At all ;)

A little clarification is in order, though... Bear with me for a moment:

VW: DNA20 wins. Priceless. Why the heck is Provape still sticking to VV only?
vape quality: Same (1*)
Battery duration: Same (2*)
Interface: DNA20 wins. A 3-button interface beats a 1-button interface, any day.
Form factor: Provari wins. It's about 60% of the box volume.
Robustness: Provari wins. Steel vs. wood... no match, despite the carbon sides.

All in all I'd call it a tie, for my needs at least. And if you factor in the satisfaction to have built your own PV, well... you guess ;)

1* I can't feel any differences in the vape quality, while with 30Hz devices (vamo, zmax, etc) I definitely could.
2* Slightly lower performance of the DNA20 when the battery gets below 3.4V. Negligible for me.

Peace, bros... :D

I think that might depend on where the buttons are located on that particular day. :) The only 3 button device I have is a Vamo, which I don't like compared to my other one button devices.

1) I don't have large fingers, but if I don't pay attention when I fire the Vamo I accidentally press the adjust buttons.
2) With both my ProVari and Zmax there is a pause between pressing the button and when the function goes into effect. The Vamo doesn't do that. In this case, 1 or 3 buttons probably doesn't make much difference, I just wish the Vamo wouldn't change so quickly.
3) Combining the 2 points above, yesterday I learned that when resting in my lap the weight of the Vamo itself is enough to press the buttons. I picked it up, took a drag and freaked. It had adjusted itself up to 12w! It did it twice, so I can't keep it in my lap when I'm working.

I know there are many people who prefer 3 buttons, but I like being able to change the settings with one hand and not have to look at the device. I also like a device that stays where I set it. :)

ETA: And wood vs steel? Are we talking about durability or sheer beauty? Sorry ProVari...

Yes,fully agree with you. But that doesn't tell you the whole story IMO...

With a VW you only need to change the watts once in a while, if at all, even if you change atomizers multiple times a day (as I do).

Moreover, a comprehensive display like the one of the DNA20D always shows at once all you need to know.. Even if you're a control freak like me :) No more compulsive button fiddling for showing voltage, resistance or battery left!

That's why in the end I've decided to hide the W +/- buttons inside my box mod: I've very little use for them.

Well, I was talking about robustness... but on the aesthetics front, little to discuss about ;)

For me, it doesn't matter if it's set in volts or watts, I still adjust it anyway. There is only one juice I really like, but it tastes different throughout the day and also depends on what tank it's in or if I'm dripping. I'm an "average" sort of vaper. Nothing fancy, I vape for taste, not what the numbers say.

. . .I vape for taste, not what the numbers say.

Now ain't that the cotton pickin' truth. One of my bicycles has 27 possible gear settings. The two shifters have numbers, and not once in the past 5,000 miles have I ever had to look at them to decide whether I needed to shift up, down, or no shift at all.
