Lovers and haters and all those in-between,

I will miss Provari terribly. Thank heavens i did some stocking up last year! Maube their business model was flawed. Maybe it wasn't. We will never know, because the rug got pulled out from under. It's just going to get worse.

here's the thing that the haters never got then and still don't get now ... you never saw ProVarinati going into the Vamo threads and talking down about those devices or the people that used them.

However, something compelled the angry haters to come into these ProVape threads and tell us how we all got it wrong about ProVape.

You guys never did see your part in it all.

Not that you specifically were a problem.

But yes, they were everywhere all the time telling everyone a Provari was the answer.

And that if a Provari wouldn't work for you, you're doing it wrong.

Then going to different threads and ridiculing anyone who thought elsewise amongst each other.

And not once has one owned their part.

I've been on both sides myself.

And I'll continue to straddle that fence.

Because:

Despite knowing and wanting that quality, I know the trade off is they don't make anything satisfying to me.

I was here 3 years ago, and remember well.

For those that liked vaping at less than 3.5a the Provari was one of the best products on the market at the time (and still would be).

I also still have an old vamo , the switch even still works (about every 20th time I posh it). So yes the vamo was a pretty good mod ... just not nearly the quality, but you could buy three of them for the price of a Provari.
How about 8 for the price of a blem?

But with the same results.

Shrug...

Very Sweet Armory indeed Sir :thumb: Big Fan of Stab Wood as well.

But to be truthful,,, I wasn't questioning your "taste" in nor your financial abilities/proclivities regarding Devices in the least.
I'm not the Presumptive or ASSumptive type .

So,,, I suppose I don't get your Point.
But again, very nice Array.
Feel better?

I never had the privilege of owning a provari.
It's sad to read this on their website.

I think it might be the first time I have personally observed such a substantial result of deeming regulations.

Aside from the Rose v3 which has been made tiny now, but that's not really a big deal.

Regulation this, regulation that. Maybe it's all true...

I will miss Provari too. I never owned one. But too many people love it. I'd better have ProVape around.

Over 450,000 sold --- I'd say they were pretty popular.

There are still a few 2.5's left at Provarifuel.com if anyone desires one.

If you prefer a "box" or up to 60 watts, they've got Radii available too.
I saw that too..I think they wanted $169.99 for the Radius and $59.99
for the 2.5.. they'll probly sell out fairly quickly...

450,00 sold from 2009 through 2016 (not counting these 2 months). At an average price of $100 (being conservative here) that's $45 Million over a 7 year period, or ~$6.5 Million in revenue a year. Surprised with that sort of revenue (no, I have no idea if they had a profit or not, companies can have Billions in revenue and still lose money) they couldn't be more nimble in the marketplace and have more incentive to change their business model to adapt to not only the changing market for vaping, but even to FDA regulations. Let's assume a margin of 10% for them, which would be $600,000 per year (again no idea what today's sales look like compared to the past). If I was throwing off $600,000, I would give careful consideration to even playing the PMTA game until the FDA dispute gets resolved, and still have profit left over (if the net margin was that good).

My speculation is that with the downturn in interest for low power mods, regardless of quality, revenue has been falling for the last few years, and facing FDA issues was the icing on the cake. While we will never know the answer, I wonder if things may have turned out differently if they had come out with a 120W Radius taking 2 batteries. I'm pretty sure even with the price premium I would have jumped at that.

It is pretty sad people are missing the big picture in this. Nicoticket is also pretty much gone for similar reasons. FDA regs made it impossible to grow as a company. Several project had to be scrapped and all future development plans dropped altogether because of them. The 60 watt radius and 50 watt Procyon were just the beginning of what new stuff provape was working on.

I've gone from being able to buy from any company to only using a few because high power low nic doesn't work for me. A lot of the vape companies out there left me behind as a customer telling me I am not worth their consideration because my needs don't fit their vision for vaping.

Provape not only had what I needed but treated me like my needs mattered and was there to support me. I had many conversations with David , Kenny ,Brandy and Brent since I got my first provari and their advice was invaluable. When the owner of a company takes time to talk to you it says a lot.

Dig her out of a drawer to shed a tear. The only old mod I've kept. Think I'll buy her a nautilus mini.

It's been along time since I've used one. It was my favorite 1.8 ohm tank though. Awesome flavor. Loved it.

If things don't change, I'm not sure if Evolve will continue in the vape market.

Maybe but there's no reason for them to shut down before the fda forces them. Hence my point; if it's the fda then why hasn't every other US based manufacture closed yet? Heck Evolv is still making new boards AND updating them.

Then why are other US based manufactures still making new devices and updating them? I'm not saying Provape and Nicoticket made great devices/liguids but maybe the company was poorly managed. They're not going to say "due to bad management and bad investments we are shutting down." I think something fishy is going on.
