Ohms question

What is the lowest ohm you guys would use on an RM2 with stock airholes?

I've been running around 1 ohm and starting to wonder if that's too hot with stock airholes. My coils seem to be messing up after ~1-2 weeks of use. Had one bounce on me earlier today - which is fine I don't mind installing a new coil - but my 1.2 ohm coil keeps truckin'.

I've never built one over .8, even at .8 I found the hole too small. My guess is that 1.2 would probably be the lowest I would go keeping it stock.

i was happy at about 0.8Ω. I drilled the airhole to 1/16" and 0.5Ω was fine.

So i drilled it more - to about 5/64" and stayed there on that one.

On another RM2, i drilled it so you could fit a baby's arm in there, and you could run what you liked, within the limits of your battery and contacts, but you had to keep it upright or it'd leak!

maybe I should try drilling to 1/16 but I don't wanna compromise flavor or mess up the atty...

1/16" is imo the hole it ought to have come with! Super-x reckoned so too and all his were drilled to that.

It's just a better vape.

I agree, 1/16 is good (to me) down to .4. Lower than that 3/16 is where I'm most comfortable.

I use 1.1 to .9 with stock air hole but not lower.

...if I were to attempt this...should I get somebody who is good with a drill to try it, or do it myself? I've maybe never used a drill before....

You can do it - a RM2 is chrome coated brass - you can spin a drill bit in it by hand it's so soft!

ETA - or even just use a round file to open it up a little. You'll never find an easier atty to drill.

The RM2 is easy, it's brass and soft. You don't even need a drill, you can use a small needle file and bore it out a little at a time until it's good for you.

I don't have any small files etc...but if I just take my 1/16 drill bit and spin it by hand into the hole that'll do the trick?

Yup, wrap some tape around the end to give you a handle of sorts (the non drilling end )

Id say go for it sloth! I cant stand small airholes anymore... they just keep getting bigger for me... I think you'll enjoy the ease of the draw better...

Oh and if you do decide to use a power drill, make sure you dont have it in reverse like i did on my igo-w...

scared ridiculous though...so, drill through it as straight as my near-SuperX-level-shakey-ayuss-self can...then rinse with warm water and vape like a rock star?

The original hole is 3/64", so you're only opening it up a tiny amount. That and the material the atty's made from is why it's so easy.

I'd not recommend you do this with a stainless steel atty unless you had 3 months to waste!

Yup, nothing to be scared of. I don't think you could screw it up if you tried.
