I've used a cheap gas station POS, then a Blu pack, then moved to the V2. Now I'm getting more serious about my vaping and moving up to an ego C twist at the recommendation of pretty much everyone around here. Now, I've noticed that there aren't many starter kits for the c twist out there, and the few I've found are almost triple the price I can get the battery alone for (I assume this is a convenience fee). So, what I need to know is, other than the battery, what else do I need? I've seen sleeves and connectors and all kinds of things, but don't know what is really needed for it. Heres a list of what "I" think I need, if I'm missing something, please let me know:

  • ego C Twist battery (probably 2 as I vape a LOT).
  • e-juice (duh)
  • a cart or tank/cart
  • a charging cord/plug

Is that it? Or is there some reason I need those sleeves and other things that they sell for these things (if I don't need them, then what exactly are they for?)

Also, I know that tanks look ugly on this thing. So can anyone recommend (a fairly inexpensive) tank that will look good on the ego c twist (I want one that looks like it belongs on it, not something Frankensteined up). I don't care really how big the tank is, 3.5 or 5ml is good, don't need bigger, probably not to much smaller though either.

Thanks in advance everyone

The Vision clearomizers have a collar that screws down on the outside threads, so the threads don't show. I do get a bit of leaking or condensation on the battery tip from time to time, though. They also make collars to cover the outside threads for tanks that screw onto the inside threads of the battery.

with that vision clearomizer, does the sleeve come with it, or should I buy it separate? also are there any other tanks that look good on the twist (perhaps something slightly larger)?

With the Vision clearomizer, the sleeve is part of the clearomizer, so no need to buy anything additional. Trying to paste a picture below, let's see if it works, still new to the forum. :)

I'm a big fan of the Vivi Nova as well. One good thing about the Vivi is that you don't need an adapter to use it if you ever purchase something like a Provari or Lavatube.

I received my Provari and got a rude awakening when I couldn't screw on my eGo tanks...I should have known better.

two more questions lol....

First, in that vivi nova, I notice it has long wicks and different ohm's... I haven't looked at wicks before, is it better to have wicks? seems most of the ones I've looked at have seep holes instead of wicks, from what I can tell... and I have no clue about the ohms whats a good ohm for the twist?

next. looks like these (both the vision clearomizer and the vivi nova) are plastic. How do they hold up? I work as a chef in a fairly fast passed kitchen, I bump into counters a lot, as well as other people around me. I need to know its not gonna crack in my pocket, specially as I vape really high nicotine levels (I'm hitting 38ml as I type), I can't have that leaking all over my leg while I'm working (or at any other time for that matter) lol

I started with the ego twist with Vision cartomizers-long wick and I've have nothing but good things to say about it. It's a pretty durable set up, I've dropped it and banged it around a fair bit as it's always in my pocket. The only thing i'll recommend is that you don't push it past 4amps with a low resistance head or ya run a pretty good chance of burning the wick if it runs a little dry or your pulling on it too hard.

I've never really banged mine around, so I can't comment on the durability of the plastic. Sorry. There are charts available to show you the safe range to vape in. It's basically a spreadsheet with Ohm's law calculated out for different ohm and volt combination.

Here it is: http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m9dkanCt0I1qc8949o2_1280.png

Some Say it is better with wicks, some say it's not. I still use a cartomizer/tank system. I find it convenient since I just replace the cartomizer every 2 weeks or so than rebuilding the wick from a clearomizer (taking it apart, placing the new wick, cleaning, etc...). Replacing a cartomizer is easy. Slide the old out, slide the new in, saturate, fill the tank, bam, vape away. Replacing cartomizers is not cost effective, but it is so dirt cheap, why not?

They make adapters for most atty connections. I got one for like 5 bucks. Added value is you reduce the chance of juice getting into the battery. Just an opinion.

Broken Arrow Ok.
I just got home from Vapor Kings with a 650 twist, Vision clearomizer and charger.
I wanted the mini vivi nova and they were sold out so i picked up the Vision to give it a try untill they are restocked. The salesman let me try his vivi nova on a twist and it sold me immediately.
Playing around with the voltage i found the juice was just right for me at 3.7 so that is pretty cool to be able to dial it in.
