Ok so I am new and completely lost

Mods are no more complicated. The only thing that can be more complicated is the carto or atty you use. Bottom feeder mods maybe a little more complicated but any ecig or regular mod is just a battery with maybe a button to activate it. If you can change batteries in a flashlight you can use a mod!

If you need more vapor and throat hit getting a 6v mod and some dual coil cartos is it. The way I look at it if you get a maxi roughstack from madvapes and dual coil cartomizers, with some 24mg juice. If that doesn't squash your craving for a cigarette nothing will.

1. drip liquid into dual coil cartomizer untill it's full

2. Put batteries in mod

3. screw dual coil cartomizer into top of mod

4. push button to vape

Whats hard or complicated about that? Putting Batteries in a charger? Anything you get or want, if you need step by step directions all you have to do is ask and someone here on ecf will lay it out for you. good luck

I was knew to vaping 2 months ago and before I took the plunge I did my normal over the top research and this is what I did...I went with the ego passthru which is probably the most "noob" friendly intro into mods. You plug it into your comp, or take it room to room with a wall charger, and if you let it charge up you can take it with you. Cheap, good vapor either by dripping or filling a couple of 2 ohm cartomizers. It just seemed like an easy way to get started

I suggest reading a couple dozen pages of a Go-Go thread (the ego-t vs. Go-Go thread is a good one) that's what I did, and the positive reviews swayed me in that direction...people LOVE them. I got one and love it as well, it's easy, satisfying, and pretty cheap. For someone trying to quit smoking it may be the best bet because you don't have to mess with it much at all...refill it before bedtime, leave it on a charger overnight, and the next day you're all good to vape worry-free. For me that was important, the security of knowing I could get a satisfying, easy vape all day long. I'm still trying to find the perfect e-liquid, but I do believe I have found the perfect e-cig!

I agree with you that ecigs are complicated but only if you get a piece of crap ecig. If you get a big fat mod vaping is the most simple thing in the world. Its only complicated when you get your 901 or 401 or 808 and you want it to do more than it does!

How can vaping with a mod be more complicated? It makes no sense. A high powered device is surely going to be less complicated because it consistently delivers a more reliable hit. And that's what we all want. Reliable satisfaction. Most mods are simply better built, better powered and far more reliable than any of the standard type Chinese made e-cigs. I have used my eGo for 8 months, and it has served me very well, but I'm certainly ready for something much better. There's no possible way that the mod I have ordered will be more complicated to use. I'm just expecting it to be better. Maybe I'm jumping the gun because my mod was only ordered today, but the rave reviews of many mods just don't need any more proof that they are worth buying. And I don't think $100 for a decent mod is too much. Even $200 would be fine.

I don't think the vaping part is more complicated with a mod. Choosing the right mod and getting the right mix of atomizers, accessories, etc. makes it hard to recommend to a person just starting out. And sure, $100 isn't bad for a decent mod, but will you be ponying up another $100 or more for yet another mod in a little while?

I've noticed that most of mod's users haven't tried the last year mini e-cigs versions, with those new battery switches and some bloog MF on it.

I've understood now that in almost every country and every vaping foruns the newbies that had the experience of trying those new minis, got satisfied in the fingers, in the mouth and in the lungs, mostly, in their minds.

A lot of experienced vapers that had been vaping for more than a year got disapointed with those old automatic batteries that would turn themselfs alone just with noise and with those bad cartos or atty/cartridge systems and most of them never tried the latest version so there is some kind of mod/geeks cult to use special gadgets.

C'mon guys, I don't want to go around with e-juice bottles in the pocket, I don't want to drip on the street or when driving, and I really don't even want to not have the fingers addictive ways of holding a cigar, or having one atty that burns after a week and two weeks to wait for the new one etc etc etc.

I'm almost about having an EGO to try tanks, LR dual coil cartos, shaped cartridges, drip tips etc, I'm not turning my back on the possibility of even getting a 3-5 or 6V changeble mod but, since I work on the computer and I can spend my work time with that kind of enviroment, and I am sorry of my english not being the best but..

You have to see once and for all that the minis are getting better and most of the smokers available to stop smoking with e-cigs, will want the most near cigar experience possible, and that includes minis.

And I'm not with doubt that a lot of early that haved tried had to give up since the minis were so bad more than a year ago, that led to the experienced ones to go and simply hate minis.

VeeDub hit the nail , squarely on the head . Decide , what you like best , throat hit , flavor , or lots of vapor . If you are a heavy smoker , go for the 24 mg , mostly pg type juices , you get more flavor and more throat hit Like a 70 pg/30 vg will give you more throat hit , but still some vapor . I too had medical issues , and was a 2 pack a day smoker , for over 40 years . With e-cigs , It took only 2 two weeks , to get off the cigs all together . So hang in there , you will succeed . Total cost is about 90$ - and you can try all 3. Get one kit with cartomizers, one kit with cart/atty's and see for yourself what you like best. For less than the cost of alot of mods.

Mods come in all flavors...I could not stand 6v vaping...no matter what atty I put on it made my juice taste like roasted marshmellow. 5V and I lost the flavor. 3.7, fine but had to change attys and couldn't tollerate how fast the carts emptied. Hated boge, smoketech cartomizers but Love the CE2's (2.8ohm for flavors, 2.5 for my daily and most tobacco juices).....

The kits are designed so that all components play nice with eachother. This is very helpful for beginners. They will be at home vaping that kit and reading here. Who knows, in a month they may be in the classy's buying mods. I gave all but my ego's away to people because they were just not right for me. I LOVE my smoktech 510's, and I have never had to double/tripple puff to get them to work with a cart. most cartomizers tasted like a ultralight and there was little to no draw resistance like a cig which sucked for me. They are called "Mods" because they are a modified version of a device that people LOVED enough to want to custom tailor for their preference.

I use eGo's at home with a tank and for dripping at home because I dont have to get up while watching a movie, but I couldn't game like I do without my 510 auto that allows me to puff while I play and never take my thumbx or trigger fingers off the controller.

No ones answer is wrong but I think when someone says they are confused with terms and strugling that "Buy a MOD!" or "Buy and EGO" is not enough. When I read those as a noob (back when ego's were "comming soon") my first thought was "What the crap is an eGo?". Took me a week of forums to figure out what everything meant only to find out that it was a manual 10, but just a bigger battery.

People are like their vape device...they come in all sorts of varieties, styles and all have nearly endless possibilities.

The battery life hasn't improved. And that's what a lot of people don't like about them- short battery life.

I have a mini and like it, but it has a short battery life. I got it after I had my ego for on the go, walking the dog, etc. Do I like it? Yes. Would I use it exculsively? No.

.......I guess what I am asking is for someone to maybe explain the terms I see here in most threads and perhaps suggest what I can do to enhance my e cig experience. I realize this is a pretty generic request but one has to start someplace. Everyone was new at some point.

In my opinion, one of the very first things to learn is how to use a pv to vaporize a liquid, as opposed to burning a ciggy to make smoke. Learn to take long slow drags. How slow depends on the pv. If your pv isn't making much vapor, do a little 'primer' puff then a very slow draw. Watching some of the videos can help a lot. For example, I typed dse 901 in the search at youtube. You can pretty much check out any piece of equipment you want like that. I watched a lot of vids back when I was starting out.lol
