I'm 6'4", bearded, tattoo'ed and used to do some mma fighting, no one has said a negitive thing to me about it. If someone followed me to my vehicle, it wouldn't end in a manner that they would approve of. Unless they really wanted dentures and the fashion statement made by a full body cast... You are way more tolerant than me my friend.

People are crazy. Stop.

Actually, you can expect anything from anyone. Apart from the fact that our current way of life isn't very healthy and people succumb and get really tense and annoying, there may have been too many unions in the family in the dawn of human times.

I did about the same, rifles since I could hold them, first pistol was an old Colt Dimondback snubbie at 4. But, pulling that trigger will cost you a lot more than knocking the feces out of them will. A gun is always a last resort item.

But 5min is too long when it is against your will. Jab them in the Adams apple and drive off while they are wheezing and hacking up blood. Quick, easy, and they will survive if they aren't stupid. Fire a round and your day is shot.

I've had a couple of folks throw the phrase "Ya know, that's worse for you than smoking". I just answer by telling them how much better I feel since I stopped smoking and picked up vaping. I actually spent some time with a smoker that I discussed vaping with. As he's coughing between his words, telling me how bad vaping is...I just told him to listen to himself cough, cough, cough. I just walked away.

Yup you got that right one shot is all it takes. I usually have it on my side for display because where i live its a small town gov so i tend to keep the clips in a separate holster on my my left side so its not loaded untill need be other wise big brother(small town pd) has an issue with it.

I really have to agree guns have to be a last resort as they really are something serious and most possibly permanent. I wouldn't carry a gun because, knowing myself, maybe I wouldn't fire it and, well, it could be used against me.

Having said that, it's not at all easy to get a permit in most of western Europe. Sure, bandits do carry guns.

I once taught in a prison (only prisoners who had very good behaviour and were really interested were allowed to enroll) and it was a very nice experience, my students there were generally pretty decent although they'd done very stupid things. One of my students had been in a gas station with friends, having a beer, and he had to use his pistol or he would have been dead when there was an armed robbery. Thing is he had no permit. So, even though it was self defense, he still got 4 years for that.

Got something different a while back. Was outside at my break and saw another vaper and decided to go say hello and talk a little bit. Well the guy was not even returning my hello and looked at me really mean... Proves that someone who vapes can be a total jerk too :)

He probably couldn't figure out how to stop his dry hits. :)

Once, I was with a friend of mine at a bar. He was a recent convert, and we were both vaping and drinking by the counter.

So, this girl, known to him, approaches the counter to ask for a coffe and tells my friend "Have a cigarrete instead, David. I would be BETTER for you". This, with a lit cigarette in her fingers.
He asked her why exactly she believed that. She told him she had heard some news that stated "nobody knows what's in those".

My friend David pulls his bottle from his pocket and reads out loud the list of half a dozen ingredients. Then asks her if she knows EVERYTHING that is coming right now from her cigarette smoke. I did not like her attitude either, so I simply told my friend "That is way too much to ask, David. Ask your friend if she can tell us at least the name of the sixty-or-so carcinogens..."

Well. This chick had a tantrum. She was offended because we were "making fun" of her, when all she was doing was warning us, in good faith, about the "unknown dangers" of e-cigarettes. And that we really should not simply join any "new wave" without "thinking about the consequences".

This was a "new wave" to her only. She did't know e-cigs even existed before she heard "the news". I was vaping at least for four years back then. Four years reading positive studies that convinced me to make the switch in the first place.

And all of a sudden, someone who currently *smokes* becomes a vaping expert just by earing ONE biased piece of junk news. And gets offended because an *ex-smoker*, *long-term* vaper makes fun about her very opiniated, yet very mis-informed attitude about vaping.
Because this know-it-all, who refused to listen to reason when I tried to explain it to her, was "concerned" about our health, and all she wanted to do was "warn us". o_O

I have had a many folks over the last few years come at me with the "you don't know what is in them" or the "it's more dangerous than smoking" line. It has gotten to the point where I have a response I rattle off without even thinking about it. Granted, the majority of folks that have said it are people I know, but there have been a few strangers.

I reply: "There are over 3000 chemicals in your cigarette that will hurt you or kill you. There are 4 ingredients in this, none of which will kill you or hurt you. There is nicotine, found in patches, gums, and vegetables. PG, used in asthma inhalers for decades and used in hospital air fresheners. VG used in fog machines for decades, and food flavorings. So shut the hell up and go educate yourself instead of confronting people with the wrong information and looking like an idiot."

It takes about 30 seconds to rattle that off, and it has become second nature to just say that line without even having to think about it. Basically it has just become an automatic response. It works pretty well and the look on folks face is priceless.

I'm sorry you had to go through that. I've never had any similar experience; the only people who have approached me to talk about vaping were smokers who were curious about how well vaping works, how much it costs, what to buy, etc. I always welcome such conversations, and hope that I have helped some smokers to quit.

It always cracks me up when these threads eventually turn to shooting or crippling someone because they "dis" you about your vaping. Some real bad dudes in here.
"Dude harshed on me about my vape....so I crushed his Adams Apple...." Then we all agree that THEY'RE the jerks. Ooooookay.
