Been smoking for over 10 years, im 30 years old, i smoke 10-13 parliament lights a day and i want to quit
neighbor gave me a try today of the green smoke e cig (strongest nicotine version he said) and it felt pretty good and i think i can quit off these things, he went from 2 packs a day to nothing after trying it

question is do i buy this one? do i buy the joye? the provari? ive read alittle on here and those are some of the names ive seen
i dont care about the price, bc you cant put a price on quitting smoking, i just want ease of use and effectiveness

i know im probably gonna be told to read around, but i have and a lot of opinions are different
but someone please help and let me know if ill be fine with the green smoke or if i should go a different route

Welcome to the forum! Do you have any local vape shops? I suggest taking a look at devices in person to see what form factor you are comfortable with. I started vaping with an ego-C with clearomizers, then carto tanks, and now I'm using mechanicals with RBA's. As I met other vapers and tried different setups I found what I like most right now. Take a look around, there is a wealth of information here.

Id go with something that you can adjust volts or watts or both. I started with a standard battery and upgraded to a variable volt in one week cause the taste was better when you can dial it in with each juice. The provari is built great from what i read but i didnt go with it cause i like variable watts instead of volts. With watts i just put any tank on and it is close enough to where i like it for all my juice. I found that vivi nova's are simple and every vendor has them so if you need a head for one its pretty easy to find. I just bought a Vamo for my back up device and really like it, its very simple to work and cheap. When you find the device you want then you will have to add batterys and charger. And then figure out how you want to deliver the juice to the battery example is the vivi nova, or kanger or ce4. The thing with them cig lookin rigs is the battery dont last long and you have to charge it every hour or 2. My vamo last day and half and my evic day and half to 2 days on single charge.

one thing i did as well is went to tasteyourjuice.com and watched his vid reviews on almost every device, plus he reviews tanks as well. It is very helpfull cause he tells how long you get out of each device how they function so you can see each one if the menu system is a pia before you buy one.

Great decision to quit smoking but...
I think you can do better than Green Smoke.

It is not recommended to get a device that will lock you into proprietary options. It is better to get a standard device so that you can tailor it to your needs & desires. You will save money & hassle that way.

Now we all had to start out with something & learn as we go. Just keep that in mind. Nothing's perfect.

With that in mind, I think a good simple start out kit would be in order for you. But it needs to be flexible for you to grow & learn as you go.

Check out a Kgo kit from Hoosiers ecig supply. I am not affiliated with them. They have a Kgo kit with clearomizers...that holds the juice. And I think they sell some sample juices so you can see what you like. It's a good start.

Good luck & keep coming back.

I started with a convienence store kit but it wasn't enough to stop - just cut down (sometimes). It took the edge off when I couldn't smoke. However, if that's what works for you then stick with it. What you don't need is to jump into something too complicated that you don't pick it up again or something that underwhelms you so you don't pick it up again (which is the way I started). Unfortunately there is a learning curve and unless you can get to a b&m store - it happens all online.

It's really not that difficult, just different. The benefits are worth figuring out but a lot is very individual. Trust your gut. With that said, there is a nice starter kit at Sweet Vapes that I wish I had found 2 years ago and would have saved me a few $'s and disappointments. They are also known for good juices.

I just noticed the earlier post and that kgo kit is good too. That's the range of equip where most people are able to stop. You might be different though.

For a kit that is simple to use that has excellent battery life vapor production and taste, leak free, no hassle or fiddling with to get it to vape properly = The Go Go, 1300 mah batteries, carto's hold 2 ~3 ml.
Order a spare 5 pack of cartos and be set for months.
The only negative is its proprietary threading if you consider that a negative, I don't.
Both vendors are stand up folks, both offer VV if you think its necessary.

Literally thousands of people quit smoking using a simple 650mah ego & cartomizers, no vv/vw necessary.

Welcome! Check here, maybe there is something near you.

Check online too. Just personally speaking, I wouldn't want to be locked into any one thing. That's probably why I have a few different ones. I really don't think you can go wrong with an Ego Twist 1000mah at first. Clearos are personal preference as much as liquids and lots of just want the darn thing to not leak. I like eVODS and iClear16's on my ego.
I have a friend who is perfectly happy with what she started with 3 months ago and doesn't want anything else. Then there are those (hi!) who want a bit more. It's all good as long as you're off the butts. Good luck!

I love my ProThingy, but I also recommend a Twist (or Spinner, they are very similar) as a first device. You will need a back-up anyway, should (when) you move up to a more advanced mod.

The main benefits of a Twist are twofold: 1) Price; 2) It's a solid, easy to operate device on which you can use just about any delivery system (what holds the liquid and wicks it to the heating element). It will give you an idea of how variable voltage works and you can sit, vaping away, while you read the threads. If I had gotten a P. right off the bat, I don't think I would have appreciated it quite so much, since I would have had nothing to compare it to.

Also, not everyone quits smoking at the same rate, and many times people post that they want to throw up their hands in frustration. It probably would compound that feeling if they had spent more money on the device they're ready to pitch into the trash.

In the last 2 months i have gotten 12 people to switch to this and all started with the standard battery, within the month only 4 of them are still using the standard battery all the rest got vv/vw devices and wished they started with one like i wish i did as well. So start with a twist/spinner or find a mod then use that as backup later if you feel you need to upgrade or need a backup.

I just recently got my Provari and love it and wished I hadn't waited so long to get it. That said, before you make a big investment, I would suggest you start small and work your way up. You can still get a good sized battery that works with pre-filled cartridges to start. Look for a battery in the 1000 mah range for a battery that will last you all day. Make sure you get at least 2 .... one to use while one is charging. And pre-filled cartridges will get you used to the process. Order different nic levels to find what works for you. Don't base it on the cigs you smoke (I did, and found it was too low for me). Once you've gotten used to that, you'll be more than ready to look at atomizers, clearomizers, tanks, etc. and experimenting with filling them with new juice flavors. And the two standard 510/ego style batteries will still serve you as great back-ups for the biggers/betters. That's just my 2 cents.
