OK these mods are getting out of hand. Wow. Pleasant experience with cig-alikes from a habitual mod buyer/user.

At the risk of sounding repetitive, the Volts are chicken hawks. They've got what it takes. I carry mine everywhere.

Not sure if it's 510, so I can't help you there. Someone will come along and let you know.

You have a Volt, but you don't know that it's an 808? I don't have a Volt and I know it's an 808. I've never even seen a Volt in person and I know it's an 808. What are you doing typing? You should have a mod in each hand with all your toys!

Volt is 808, not 510.

My Volts are fine. But, I really love to drip with a 510-t or 306 with one of my little 280 mah 510 batteries.

The fun isn't in using a cig-a-like or in using a big mod. I'ts in the variety! Whatever I use, I get bored and switch to something else for a while.

You're right on several points. I started with Blu, juice in their cartos is great, but I am too heavy of a smoker for them. So I got a Johnson Creek Vea which I loved. I still love it and keep it around, hitting it once in awhile. Love the Vea since you can buy blank cartos and they're super easy to fill and even have a larger atomizer than most other cartos.

But yea, I had to go for something even higher powered so I have a couple other mods. They all have their place. I keep trying to decide which I want to start my Mom on but can't bear to part with any of them. :D

OP, yeah, 2.0-2.4 ohms on a volt battery and it vapes like mad. Too much for me, unless I used 40% vg or more.

Ive been using m3, tidy10, and e-smart on my volt, and they all make decent clouds, or "plumes" ;), big flavour and hit. Although, its worth saying, its probably better to do this on a 78mm, rather than a 65mm volt, just because the capacity, as well as the regulation is what makes dipping the ohms a bit, safe, and less wear on the battery.

I don't vape that much, partly cause I mix in 50% WTA e-liquid. So my 78mm's last me about 2-3 days of vaping each.

People should never discount the standard volts. Sure if you vape lots, the battery capacity might irk you (dont bother me charging it every couple of days ;), but regardless, they perform for sure.

These gen3 808 type batteries, should not be lumped in with corner store nonsense, or lesser tech, especially with a lower resistance carto/nano clearo, they rock (although dont use dual coil, or lower than 2.0 on them)

...

Shorty is an interesting idea. Smokeless image have a zippo lighter battery now, 350mah, regulated, but the lid fit is a little tight with the standard cartos. Might go golden with a shorty 2.0ohm from smoktech, having the capacity, and regulation and all. For those times where maximum pocketability is the call (like the beach, or a short trip to the dairy in shorts and t-shirt). hmmm...

But where did you get those 2.0 ohm shorty cartos in an 808 thread would be my question? Having a google now, not finding much jump out at me in my quick look. I really want to find these 2.0ohm 808 smoketek cartos now.

The cool thing about 808 batteries compared to 510's is the VOLTage. 510's are a measly 3.3 while 808s are 3.7. That includes the cigalikes. Big SI fan over here. I don't own a twist or a Vision product, but I like my spinners! I will forever swear by those little Volts and recommend them to new vapers. Back when I had only ever used 510's, the SI 808's got me to a point where I could actually make the switch. They're so easy to get going that a monkey could use them, but a monkey could never appreciate the performance you get with no work/thought and in a such a small package! They're a good first choice not only because they work great, but because they're good enough that you will still want to use them even after you progress to other systems. I'm a vamo user now, but I still tend to keep a volt cigalike and spinner ready at all times simply because they just work and they really do the job. I'll be replacing them when they finally cease to hold a charge, for sure.

The entire box had that burnt nasty taste.
...you ate the box?

I have spent thousands of dollars on all these mods, vivi novas, clearos, cartos, everything.
I never gave these volt batteries a chance. they are truly rocking my world right now lol.
I mean it might just be that this 1 cartomizer is working fantastically. haha.
I don't think its a super low resisted carto, as I said above, its around 2 ohms.

I take a hit off my provari with a brand new metal vivi nova and its just not as good as the volt right now.
I can customize everything with the provari and the different resisted coils I use on it in ALL the heads I use.
But this volt battery with a simple short cartomizer is nuts. NUTS.

It almost makes me angry. I almost want to bring everything to a swap and trade it all for more cig-alike supplies.
I have to admit, the Volt batteries with the "nano" clearomizer? Horrible.
So it kind of is just that this cartomizer is performing extraordinarily well. But I bet thats just a difference in carto vs. nano clearomizer, not representative of what I will get if I buy more cartomizers for my volt batteries.

I was going to save up for a new mechanical mod with a new rebuildable atomizer.
I had my eye on one, and I had the perfect RBA tank for it. But now? I almost want another volt kit.

I have Volts and Panda 510, Wife only uses Volts with 18mg cartos. I actually tried a manual V2 and I must say I was surprised at how much kick that little battery had.

Yup, still using sticks, I think they're great and definitely have a place.
