OK these mods are getting out of hand. Wow. Pleasant experience with cig-alikes from a habitual mod buyer/user.

Character analysis: She has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire. :)

Statement: You sir are drunk!
Answer: And you are ugly, but in the morning I will be sober, and you will still be ugly...

Same quotable character, one of my favorites.

lmao you guys missed the 2nd half of the title.

I'm seriously about to just buy 250ml of RY4, a new kanger T3, more silica/mesh/wire and some cartos for these volt batteries. I'll use what I have already. I'm not buying more shtuff.

When I was in for surgery, I took my 510 passthrough and some little 510's I had with a bunch of cartos. They worked fine in that setting, and if they got lost I certainly wouldn't care as much as if it was one of my others. I came home with them all. When I was setting up my kit for the hospital I tried each one and while not my ideal, worked just fine. They got the job done with no mess or fuss and that was all that I needed. Especially gorked out on painkillers. Like you though, I didn't want to buy more shtuff so I was grateful to have them. I have PIF'd a lot of stuff, but don't think I will ever get rid of these little guys now.

Ha ha. I came back to ths thread to seek info for possible small investment in volt for variet from my eRoll, which I have scads of supplies and extra everythings fr. Still not sure about going back to cartos though.....need info.cig alikes are very popular. Portability! Hands free vaping. I found myself stashing my eRoll in my mouth plenty of times to do things like tie my shoes, pick out a horses hoof, carry dishes out of the living room to kitchen....

Anyone posting to ecf regularly, that owns mods, that still uses cig-alikes, needs to come out of the woodwork right now and reveal yourselves. I know your out there.

Good to hear it. And do you have mods that you enjoy when you can?

Who else uses cig-alikes along side their mods? Everyone? Majority? Minority?

I prefer mechanicals. Just got a Reo! Should of got the Grand for my kick. Mortar telescopic and Damascus Flair on the way. I used to be a total tank/ carto and I still love them with most juices but not all yet to the muting factor of carto
But I vape eRoll no less than 50 percent if tie except when I first got the Reo. I'm sure you own a bottom feeder right? Heh heh

i'm new to vaping as of 1/1/2013, but get obsessive with new habits. started with blus, then got an ego kit, then got clearos, then got spinners, then got an e-roll system, then got a vamo, then got carts and more clearos, then a v2 mod, then more batteries...you get the idea. not a huge fan of the vamo due to its size. the e-roll is my go to for work because i can stealth it easily, and swap carts without busting out needles or bottles of liquid. if i'm in the car, i prefer throwing a kanger t2 or a vision v3 on an ego batt. i've tried the t4, the evod, and the t3 bottom coil, but the t2/v3 have been the most consistent, idiot proof, and non-leaking attachments that also provide good vapor production. majority of my juices are either 80/20 or 50/50, and 16mg nic or higher.

not sure where i was going with that lengthy explanation except to reiterate that i use a cig-a-like daily, and prefer simple battery/tank combos to mechanical or VV/VW mods.

edit: would never use an e-roll as my go to device because of the lack of juice capacity, battery life, and heat issues during chain vaping

Dude, I freakin' LOVE my Volts. I got two of 'em, along with the PCC. I get blank cartos, though. I use my Volts every single day. They're perfect for stealth vaping in class or at work. When I've had a few drinky drinks, I start to crave holding a cigarette in my hand. The Volts are perfect for that. My girlfriend doesn't mind my gadgets, but she thinks my Volts are the coolest out of the bunch. She actually liked the smell of tobacco on my mustache when I smoked (not the smoke itself), so when I popped out my Volt loaded with Turkish Blend from Vaporcast, she said, "That smells like the old you! I like that smell!" The Volts look cool, they feel cool, they're beyond easy to use, and with two batteries, a PCC, and maybe a spare carto, you've got enough power for a whole night out on the town.

I love my Volts so much, I took my picture with it and posted it in the Smokeless Image subforum just so I could get a free battery!

Yeah, definitely NOT a chain vape device. You can get around that to some extent by boosting the nic content which allows you to use it more like a cigarette - vape a few minutes, put it back in pcc for a good while, then hit it again.

This conserves both the battery and the juice. But there is no getting around the need for switching carts to some extent.

Statement: My eventual plan is to have 3 units, each for a purpose.

1) I will keep a cigalike for when I travel, or to let others test out e-cigs on, or as a backup. The small size and convenience in some situations outweigh the need for more power.

2) I will keep an eGo/clearo as a regular vape as I've enjoyed it so far, and it isn't so expensive that you cry when you lose it.

3) I'm deciding what advanced mod I want to invest in for really getting deep into the RBA/DIY customized vape experience.

So far, the eGo is satisfying me and working quite well for both at work and home use, but the cigalikes have their place for sure. Especially if you're new to vaping.

When you explore it usually turns out the good examples of each type have a place and the variety just makes it better or more convenient, more appropriate for a give scenario. I used to think boiling it down one was the goal but really what works well I more than happy to keep and use. So right about loosing something too! It happens. So take out the oldest most used cheapest for dangerous loosing your mind events.

Wait til you try the eRoll . Atty tanks atty tanks atty tanks
Is there a comments section for the pics posted? We need to ALL go in there and give you a hard time
That's half the reason I haven't invested in the eRoll. I've used atty tanks before. I like them, but weirdly I find them to be more of a hassle than dripping. Messier, too.

Though I've been thinking about grabbing a 901-T and an adapter for that Fin battery that's just gathering dust.

Looked into, but not interested in, the eRoll.

90 mAh = not anywhere near long enough for me, even with the PCC.

You can't store a spare battery or extra cartos in the PCC.

Less than 1 mL of juice in the tank.

Need blunt needle caps to use. Not everyone has those, or knows where to find them.

Volts are super easy to use. If you get the pre-filled cartos, all you have to do is screw the battery in and start vaping immediately. Since I only get blank Volt cartos, you have to prime them first, but it's so easy.

Well, the eRoll is out of reach price wise for some, me maybe too depending on how long stuff lives. I read somewhere about 3 months for one person. That was my guess for it. My plan was to use sparingly when out and about but I use then the most still. Maybe the honeymoon phase will Peter out and maybe they'll start clearancing supplies making way for the next thing. There is a way to rebuild the little Atties though but those can't be used in a dead battery and a battery can't be recharged in a dead PCC. It's a luxury. If I had to choose one device it would be a Bottem fed mechanical with RBA. I just wouldn't be able to hold anything in my mouth anymore hands free
