I don't think so, but anything is possible. I usually leave mine laying around on their sides but haven't noticed anything. The wick will saturate to the max and, hopefully, stay that way as you vape. I don't think you can over saturate it unless you pressurize the clearo and then you'd end up with a mouthful, YUCK!

Hey guys.... One question.

Do you get cold vapor from your Clearomizers ?

With the Clearomizers attached to my X2, I feel like it's way to cold vapor...

Any tips or tricks you did to alleviate that problem ? Or just not having the problem at all ?

When I went to the clearos I thought it was a cold vape as well. The bottom coil CE3 have a much warmer vape to me.

I will be making a video on how to dry burn the clearos this weekend. I will post the link here when it's up.

The x2 clearos do give a little cooler vape. I have found that the coils seem to need a break-in period. When you first get them, I have found that the ohms are a little higher for the first tank or two. It may have just been the couple that I used, but that's what I experienced.

Great Idea, can't wait to see your take on cleaning them. I have amassed quite a collection of the new ones and the first few could use a proper cleaning. Can you re-wick these? I saw the wicks for sale on another site, I might want to try that one day down the road....

OMG...I have been struggling with my first 2 branded clearos and thought there was something different with them than the last few I had. Now that I just saw that video I pulled out the center post a bit and I am in love again!!!! To think, I threw some out yesterday because I figured they were toast because they were doing the same thing...sigh.

Thank you for sharing that video!!!

Agreed! I was bored this morning so I took two of my very used X2 Clearomizers that were plugged up and not working so good over to the Bar Sink and using a pair of Hemostats I disassembled them like in the video. I flushed them out with HOT water for several minutes while holding them with the hemostats dumping and flushing until they looked new. I did the same to the little cap and steel thingy and when I was all done I dried them and very very carefully ran a standard pipe cleaner up the air hole from the connection end and got a bunch more of burned juice that was still stuck right below the coil. I did this with a new pipe cleaner until it was coming out clean, adjusted the air inlet like in the video, dry burned and reassembled. Then filled them with juice and they now work better than they did when new. It would appear these things will last a very long time if you clean them once a week and be careful not to mash or dislodge the wick and coil. What a great product and a great resource for information this forum is. I bet a lot of people just use these and throw them out when they get too plugged up to function.

I use the Clearos almost exclusively and have had the same three for ~3 months. I usually clean them every two or three weeks, depending on the juice I use, darker & heavier juice tends to clog them quicker.

I usually soak the disassembled Clearo in very hot water for 5-7 minutes to loosen those that are heavily clogged and have experimented with a good squirt of peroxide to help break down the residue. I follow that with another soak in plain hot water then a thorough rinse. After drying the Clearo, I'll dry burn in 5-7 second bursts until I see the coil glow, I'll have to try the pipe cleaning of the lower tube, that's a great idea and should remove more gunk.

I'm not sure if they can be taken apart to re-wick, but I may experiment with one of the Long Wick Clearos to trim one down since I prefer the short wicked Clearos.

Boy, these seem like a lot of work.......So, here are some general supid questions.

I have been filling them and alternating around my clearo at work, my cartos and my clearos at home. They genrally are left for days with sauce in them. I cleaned out the one at work on Friday using Mr. Outlaws bowl of water method and just let it dry over the weekend.

Is it bad to leave them with sauce in them or should I be taking it out if it is going to sit?

How low should I let it go before re-filling? I havent let it go any lower than .04ml

I don't let them even sit on their sides, is it okay to let them sit that way?

and for the record, the one I did clean tastes different to me today with the first fill after the bowl cleaning.

So far my experience with clearos has been generally positive. I leave them laying around on their sides all the time, especially if they happen to be attached to a battery. I usually fill them to about the 1.4 mark with no problem and have used, essentially, all the liquid, sauce, in them on a regular basis. That tends to keep the thick build-up to a minimum. I clean them every third or fourth fill to get out all the gunk I can and remove the silicon air tube cap when I do clean them. I have noticed a more muted vapor output and flavor as they get used and attribute that to the atomizer being gunked up. I only have automatic batteries at the moment, but will be getting a manual with my next order just so I can dry burn the gunk off. Since they last so long, I only have one or two filled at any given time.

Just a quick update. This thread got me thinking about dry burning and I decided to try, using an automatic battery. I blew, gently, into the charger end while watching in a mirror and dry burned two that had experienced the lowered vapor/flavor syndrome. I was surprised by how much burned off, how many "burns" it took to get the coils clean. I just refilled one, with RY4, let it set for a few minutes, and gave it a try. It's back to its normal self, lots of vapor and flavor although I'm still getting a little burned taste from the dry burn I think. That taste is tapering off as I vape on it though. I think I may have waited too long to do the first dry burn and will do that as part of the regular cleaning cycle from now on.

I will have to give sitting them on their sides a run since taking off the clearo every time I set it down gets annoying. I just didnt want it to leak.

I am just trying to see if I can set a trend by calling it sauce......juice doesnt seem to do it justice.

I got my manual in the mail on Friday. I have a 900mah auto and a 900 manual and honestly, I haven't seen much difference. I wouldn't say "pain" but pushing the button doesn't do anything for me and I have tried to take a pull off the manual without pushing the button at least 6 times today.

This may end up being my only manual battery.
