LOL, I definitely didn't NEED a new paps but now that it is here and looking so damn sexy I'm kinda glad I went for it. Got the v3 lux today in the mail with gp dripper and an ultem sleeve for my heron.

Im trying so hard to keep things simple... Im to that point where I have 3 every day favorites that are easy to set up , 1 that I love but can use only in cooler temps.
I have 2 other 16mm RTAs and like them, but not in love with them. Crossing my fingers the Spheroids are "THE" one so I can reduce my stash.
Only need another 16mm tube mech , but its been hard finding the GUS16 in the Lord or Kiss finish.... I waited too long and now they are not available.
I hope it works out for me and I dont have to re-home them. I really do hate selling stuff....

I'm in a similar situation. I missed out on the gp stuff for years for various reasons and jumped on them when I saw they were available. Otherwise trying to narrow down my collection to a few mods. Mostly squonking these days but I wanted some nice mech setups to enjoy more on an occasional basis. The gps will do just fine.
I've been in end game mode for hardware the last couple of months, acquiring the stuff I plan to keep using forever after. I have one more hadaly and a freehand s stabwood coming in and then if I can get on turbocads list for an ultem dna squonker I'm gonna call it quits on new hardware for the time being.
I might look into making a squonker or two of my own next.

Thanks! I had Bret from Ohman's Bmods make me a couple variations on his ultem dot tips for the spheroid and heron. Slightly thinner diameter and taller. His dot tips are just about perfect for my squonk drippers though.

Yeah I've ordered stuff from him in the past and his work is excellent, so when I saw the dots I knew they were what I was looking for. There are a few ultem gems on fasttech though if you do a search for pei drip tips and just ignore everything goon sized. I probably have at least one of every tip made of ultem that fasttech sells by now.

OK, figured it out myself, the problem with the rattle had to do with my batteries.
I got in some green Panasonic NCR18650BE 3200mAh. Seems they are a much better fit. Dont know if they are wider or longer or what, but there is no rattle even with the special top cap for atties with short 510 pos pins.
Loving the Woodies even better. I loved they way they looked that I was even going to endure the slight imperfection of a slight rattle or not use that top cap and only use my FEVs.
Now I can use any of my RTAs, even my beloved Origens without fear of mishap because of the short pos pin.
BTW, these Panasonics are fantastic, they last much longer than the AWs I usually use and a better fit than the red LG I have.
I hope that if anyone had or has or has been thinking of getting a SaruMods Woodpecker they can buy the proper batteries and not have to go through the dreaded "battery rattle"
