I found once I started to vape, the taste of cigarettes did change amazingly fast. I only smoked and vaped at the same time for 2 days though, then completely stopped. I feel so much better now I can't imagine going back to smoking. Its good to see you are so excited to put down the analogs!! That will defiantly help you greatly in completely switching over to vaping.

Jes, your post made me LOL. You're not nuts. It really is that exciting, wonderful and life-changing. Popped in to say congrats to you The transition to vaping is a pleasant rather than a 'quit' where you're depriving yourself and dealing with constant craves. Hope you won't be too hard on yourself if you need a few cigs as you transition. From first vape some people never smoke again. More transition over a few days or weeks. Some still have a couple of cigs a day months later. Every cigarette you don't smoke is a ginormous victory. Enjoy the journey and be kind to yourself. Soon cigarettes will have no control over your life. It might take a moment but it's so worth it. Hope your PV arrives quickly! Vape happy

Ok, had to check this out, it's way cool. I have 3 packages en route, and all 3 are supposed to be here Friday, would have been Thursday, but.... One of them is juices, and having never tried anything except my own, well, you can imagine me chomping at the bit, like, what do real juices taste like? Am I even close? Will I ever DIY again, or will this help me DIY? HURRY AND GET HERE, DANGIT!! Ok, Balth, patience is a virtue. Nice site, but how do you get the package to FLY FASTER..I want it NOW, so I can have all of those flavors for Thanksgiving!

JesNoSmo I know how you feel. I started one night researching the right e-cig for me. Watched tons of youtube reviews and such. That night I could not sleep. I kept thinking of how great it would be to get an e-cig. I dreampt about e-cigs! The very next day I ordered. It could not come fast enough! But worth the wait. I only smoked one stinky since getting my 510. And that was just to see how it was. YUCK! I will never ever go back to analogs. If you are obsessed now about your order getting here, I bet you will be just as obsessed over it when it gets to you. You will be in love with vaping!

Well I saw the title and now have Def Leppard stuck in my head (don't have it on my laptop or iPod so have to get the full fix when I get home) but it made me smile.

Firstly, Welcome to ECF and the wonderful world of Vaping.

I was the same when I took the step and ordered my first kit, you are preparing yourself mentally for the switch and that is a good thing, the repulsion of analogues at this stage helped me and like you, the postman wouldn't arrive quickly enough, drove me nuts but I just kept with the old saying ....

'All good things to those who wait' and you know what, it has never been so true when it came to vaping.

I think there were various threads about stalking the mailbox and the mailman while waiting for vaping supplies

The funniest thing..... I remember ordering and waiting. Tick tock, tick tock type thing. Look at the bigger picture. Before you know it a year will have passed. No worries. It is as if I blinked my eyes and my last cigarette was 11 months ago.

Ok, this is nuts!
I ordered my pv on the 20th after a little over a week of researching e-cigs and talking myself into putting down analogs. And now,...it seems like the only thing I can think about is that damn electronic cigarette I ordered two days ago! It seems like it's been a month!!! lol
Seriously, don't underestimate my NEED to finally get this thing in the mail.
I promised myself I'd quit analogs just a soon as this thing arrives. Next thing on the agenda is to order some back ups.
So, not only can I not WAIT to get this thing and dump the filthy, stinky tobacco habit, but...since yesteday I cannot stand the taste of cigarettes!!! I don't inhale fully like I used to, it tastes like...well, I can't say that here but it's not nice!
Cigarettes never tasted great to me, but I "needed" them and I enjoyed smoking, now....they're just downright disgusting and I didn't even want to stand outside with fiance to smoke.
Is this normal? I'm guessing it's psychological and most likely due to all the reading I've been doing concerning analogs and vaporizers.
I don't know, what do you think?

I so remember what it was like waiting for my first ecig stuff to arrive. I learned about them via a flyer someone stuck in my hand at a bbq fest. After I did some research and figured out I could vape peppermint - I quickly figured out I had a nico problem and not a cig problem - I never liked the way they tasted or any of the other nasty stuff that came along with it! You're going to have a blast!! I put analogs down - just like that and it was over. Keep us posted and good luck to you!!

I also stalk the mailman! It was one of my favorite things to do! Lol. I have since found an actual smoke shop that sells everything I need and want. The best part is the owner is also a vaper! I can sit in there and talk to him and vape with him for hours and hours. He's a great guy,and has great product. His prices are lower than most online stores and NO SHIPPING!!!! I walk right out of the store with my new toy or juice! It's been the best thing I've found! I still order online from time to time, mostly juices that I have come to love and aren't quite the same from my local shop, but there's nothing better than thinking I want a new flavor, driving a few miles and having a taste right there in the shop with Rick.

Also make sure to drink a lot of water. Have read here that heavy vaping can dehydrate you.... but drinking 5 to 8 glasses of water a day is good for you anyway.

If you have a analog cig here and there don't get discouraged. Friend of mine summed it up saying that going from a pack a day of cigarettes to one or two a week is at least a step in the right direction.

Also some "duh" common sense advice. Nicotine is not good for kids or pets. So make sure if you have kids or pets at your place to dispose of the cartos/juice/whatever in a safe manner that the kids/pets will not get into.

Jes, just had to say hi and welcome. Your post got me all pumped up for you This really is an exciting journey your about start and by your post I'm 100% positive your going to rock it.... Just a few tips that helped me....... BE NICE to yourself and drink plenty of water. Also starting off looking at this like a switch instead of a quit helps with the quitting induced anxiety....Good luck and remember your never alone here... we all have your back!

I've got some juice coming from Texas, missed the truck yesterday when I placed my order. I wasn't even thinking about it being processed and put on the same truck the same day. BreezEsmokes gets a thumbs up from me on quick painless ordering and processing.

Sorry for the plug but was impressed by them. I'm one of those "buy local" freaks, but if I can't buy local I like to go with a small ma & pa business if I can.
