Jes, just had to say hi and welcome. Your post got me all pumped up for you :) This really is an exciting journey your about start and by your post I'm 100% positive your going to rock it.... Just a few tips that helped me....... BE NICE to yourself and drink plenty of water. Also starting off looking at this like a switch instead of a quit helps with the quitting induced anxiety....Good luck and remember your never alone here... we all have your back! :)

Exactly on the switch instead of quitting. Funny thing is a few months back (spring or summer) I was trying to quit again and my father suggested the e-cigs.... And my dad is a big time anti-smoker. Allergies and sinus problems mainly, plus Pops (my grandfather) smoked a pipe, grandfather on my mom's side died of smoking related illness.... I told him I was trying to quit not substitute one form of addiction for another. At the time I was thinking it was like telling someone who shoots up ....... to switch to snorting it.

I looked a little bit into nicotine. For the most part the amount of nic a person gets from smoking is small. It can be compared to other minor stimulants like caffeine. Looking back at the anti-drug craze of the 1920's did you know that caffeine almost made it onto the list of banned substances?

Granted there is an abuse factor for almost any substance (look at food which isn't an addictive substance) and obesity in the general population. Caffeine and nicotine have some down sides (health wise) but they also have some up sides (health wise). Wine does too, has some chemical features which are good for you and some which are bad for you.

While being addicted to caffeine and nicotine might make me cranky in the morning I would rather be vaping than smoking.

AWESOME!!! Thank you BIG time. I'm going to check this out. You know, since I live iin PA and all lol

I'm across the border, about half way between Cleveland and Erie. I used to live (and went to high school) on the other side of the state by Philadelphia.

Also once you get used to vaping might want to try out some flavors.... Something I think I am coming around to. Currently though I think since I am new-ish to vaping I have been sticking with the tobacco flavors. For me it would be just a change of pace, a once in a while thing.

Ok, which is worse .....

A. Having tried a friends vape, then waiting for your own start-up stuff to come ....

B. Having vaped for a few days/a week, but not having the right stuff to vape consistantly ......

C. Having vaped for a while, but not having what you need now ...... ie -burned out atty, ran out of juice ......

And of course, all of the above can be blamed on the mailman who is NOT DRIVING FAST ENOUGH with what you need to fix above said problems .....

Hey, I just found out something that should cheer all of you up (and surprised the heck out of me :)). I just checked tracker on my packages, 2 of them show that they have left the post office here in Fayetteville, and will be here TODAY! WOOHOO!
They weren't originally scheduled to arrive till Friday. Now I have to try to keep away from the mailbox, at least until after 2 (mail doesn't arrive here until 3-4pm).

I'm so happy :rickroll:

LMAO! Yes, so true, that damn mailman!!!! And, I just found out mine will not be here today. That would be too convenient and that would make me a lucky person. So of COURSE my e-cig is still somewhere on the lower E. coast. CRAP!!!!

This thread is too funny!!! I stalk my mailman at least twice a week (I'm new too so I am still trying juices, cartos, etc) What drives me absolutely CRAZY is tracking your package and realizing it went WAYYYYYY out of the way just to completely backtrack! It would be quicker for me to DRIVE and pick the package up!!!

Heck yeah! Order more eliquid - that will take the edge off. And new vapers are the ones most likely to run out of liquid so you are doing yourself a favor.

I was so excited about my first kit. I smoked almost 40 years and I needed smoking so bad I could never even bring myself to attempt to quit. I bought nicotine gum and never tried it. I got Chantix and never started it. Every morning I would wake up craving a cigarette and at the same time thinking how I really had to stop smoking. But the ecig just worked. It was close enough, and once you get your equipment right for you and find juices you really like, it's better than smoking.

Make sure you get spare parts (including spare battery and spare charger) for any ecig you depend on. And I also like to have a charger at work for each I use.

Just had a $700 car repair bill yesterday - just think how much PV stuff THAT could have bought...

Unfortunately for my wallet, I rarely have to stalk the mailman. Sometimes I get more than one package per day. If you order stuff every day, soon your mailbox will be a veritable cornucopia of ecig stuff. BTW I don't know what you ordered but sign up at Gourmet Vapor and V4L (KR808D-1 stuff and juices) so you get their sale notices. Many other vendors email their sales too. V4L has frequent sales. Gourmet Vapor has infrequent but huge sales.

Why is it equipment/accessory orders always get shipped the same day (Next morning for late night shopping blitz'es), and juice vendors seem to drag out getting the orders out. Drive's me insane sometimes! I got the equipment, I want my juice! :)

I know, I know. Most of the better juice vendors hand mix on order. It's just that I see a new flavor, and I want it yesterday!
