you are having the worst luck with vapemail lately, first your glass bottles now this  I am worried about quality control more so now that manufacturers and vendors are trying to crank gear out as fast as possible now and in the months to come.

That's okay............I have a Gazillion stuffs. :D .......I was anticipating storing one and enjoying the other though

Didn't even take a chance with the kayfun mini v3's Disassembled, UC cleaned, reassembled and stored.

I took it to mean that the tank is plastic rather than glass.
While it is true that you can get completely steel tanks, the standard tank has a clear plastic window.

Some people (myself included) prefer glass to plastic, because plastic can crack or become cloudy with certain liquids.

Having said that, for my preparations, I have standardized on the Kayfun Lite.
The plastic tank is a drawback, but the benefits outweigh that drawback for my purposes.
While it is less desirable in my opinion, plastic does have the advantage of being much harder to break than glass, which is good if you're buying gear that may need to last a long time with no spare parts availability.

There's always the stainless tank for tank-cracking liquids, and I guess the lack of visibility can be worked around to an extent.

With the solid stainless tank, how would you check your liquid level? Would you have to unscrew the tank from the mod. Even if you do that, you'd be looking at the level from the top down. It seems to me it would still be hard to judge the juice level accurately. There is a Mini Nautilus tank that is solid stainless, with a little T shaped window, that I assume is glass. The idea is that you can check juice level through the window, while your tank is much more protected from breaking. I am surprised that type of thing isn't avaliable with the Kayfuns and Kayfun clones.

Solid tanks are awkward to be sure. But in practice, I found I learned how long a full tank lasted and just filled more frequently. It really wasnt as much of a challenge as I thought it would be.

Yeah, got the plastic see through "glass" but afraid my juices will crack them.
Go to Fasttech and search for Kayfun quartz kit. They have the glass kit for Kayfuns for $3.03,i have a few and they are very nice and never have to worry about tank cracking juice.

I've looked at those but I've was worried about o-ring/pressure fit with the glass and no threads. Any leakage or accidental disassembly in a pocket?

I never tried carrying one in my pocket, but i have knocked them over a few times with no seperation, and never had any issues with leaking.I haven't used my kayfuns in quite a while, but i have 1 with the glass kit that has been sitting at least 6 months full of juice, and it's still completely dry on the outside.I have to say though,it seems they changed that kit,the ones i have had the red o-rings,so i can't say how the black ones are,but if it does seem loose, you could get a bit thicker o-ring set to tighten it up.

Mine has stayed perfectly dry also but it has come apart a couple of times leaning back in a chair while in my belt holster. Seems if there is any lateral pressure they slip off the orings. I still use mine but restrict to desktop use.

I'm interested in Kayfuns and Kayfun clones because I hear they are great for flavor-chasing low wattage vapers like me, but I've never built a coil. Is this particular Kayfun clone a good one for someone who is new to building and not at all mechanically minded?
I did my second build ever on a Kayfun a week ago. I had to re-wick once and achieved good results. Still getting great vape. It is perfect for someone new. Watch a couple of videos. Don't get too wrapped up in the details. It is not rocket science. I have a couple originals and a couple of clones. I love the flavor. Simple well though-out design and a sleek look. Easy to work with. Recommend.

I bought Kayfun clones but have not used them yet, I got a couple mini's and the Lites. I still have to work on building coils.

If you don't want to start out building coils, or if you are just plain lazy, like me, you can buy pre-made coils. They are extremely cheap! 50 coils for under $3.

stuck in a squishy pod called my brain
No worries. Certainly wasn't offended that'd someone would point out it wasn't necessary- obviously, I've mixed all my juice so far without one.

I was just explaining why I wanted one, as part of the discussion.

We gooch.
hey gunmonkeyINTL,, i have a USED magnetic stirrer ,,, thing is when i say used i mean it,, it came from a real lab,, and they must have spilled stuff all over it. it looks like you could replace the top glass/plexi and have it 95% cleaner / better looking........now if you're willing to do that and more clean up....its all yours i just need your mailing address.

It works for me.

The hardest part is Trapping the leads under screw heads. This can be frustrating at times.

Attys with Post holes would be easier to trap the leads.

This is the way I used to coil the kayfuns/R91s/Taifuns
Lasted a long time and hit really well, like a carto on steroids.

I read a couple of reviews of that type of tank, and the general concensus seemed to be that they are for home use only due to the fact they can fall apart if dropped, knocked over or otherwise mishandled.

Wrap the coil around a drill bit that just fit the air pipe. Then leave the coil on the drill bit and stick the bit in the air pipe. Makes tighten the loose wires easy, without destroying the shape of the coil. Snug it all down and pull the drill bit out.

I coil my RSSTs the same way. Wrap the coil on the drill bit, drop the bit into the hole and connect everything up. Remove the drill bit and insert mesh coil.

This was the second mod I ever made, called it the "Girly Mod", made it to speak to her "sensibilities" and it helped keep her vaping back in the beginning when the Egos stopped working for her.

The one on the right is my very first Mod, she said it was "too industrial", and that she want something more girly. Both of these mods would last me 3 days, and her 5 days.
