You are free to get what you like; but personaly i would recommend THR Kayfun lite plus Atty. If you want a Lung hit option later get a few Kayfun Monster V3 bases, O rings, a few glass replacement tanks a few barrels FT calls them graphic tubes. A few chimneys. If you want an Atty that holds less liquid get the nano chimney and bell caps.

I say this because i only have one complaint about the Kayfun Mini V3. Its a great Atty but it is top filled, and if mine sets a day I have to close the juice Control or i come back to a puddle of juice just because the O rings On the drip tip are weak and don't create a proper vacuum.

You wont have that problem with a bottom filled Atty.

Other bennefits of older tech.

1. The full sized Atty holds more Juice. The Kayfun Mini V3 only holds 2 ml.

2. The replacement parts for the full sized Atty is much more abundant ie the O rings, screws, barrel, chimney, top caps, bases, etc.

How could the drip tip o rings affect the vacuum?
I'm not saying you're wrong, because I'm pretty new to vaping, but I don't understand what the drip tip o rings have to do with the internal vacuum inside the tank?
I can pull my drip tips right out out and my tanks don't leak.

Anyway, not taking away from your experience with the Kayfun Mini v3, but mine has been different (mine is a clone from ebay).
I did initially get some leakage through the air holes, but this turned out to be user error (I wicked it incorrectly).
Since I have learned to wick it, I have had no leaks whatsoever.

I mostly use mine on the weekends in conjunction with my Endura T18.
I use my bigger setups during the week, but at the weekends when I'm out and about, I like the small size of the T18.
This means that my Kayfun Mini v3 sits for five days out of every seven loaded with juice and unused. It never leaks.

One thing that I did discover is that when I first filled it, a tiny bit of liquid would find its way into the air holes. Not enough to leak per se, but enough to make it gurgle a bit.
I found that I could eliminate this by inverting it after filling and opening the juice control while the tank is upside down.

The only other top fill tank I own is the original tank that came with the Endura T18.
I no longer use this tank, but I did really like it. The top-fill was really convenient, and it never leaked.

The only reason I stopped using it and bought the Kayfun Mini V3 was that I didn't want the ongoing hassle and cost of buying the coils.
I figured that, since each pack of five coils is around $12, I might as well just buy a rebuildable tank for about the same price as two packs of coils.

I'm not saying that top-fill tanks never give problems, but my experience with these two tanks has been very positive.

No problemo.
I have about 30 replacement glasses, about the same number of gasket sets, replacement bases, tops, RBA decks.
And 10 complete Subtank mini tanks.
Set for 20 years or more considering I have yet to replace a gasket or glass or any part aside from coils and wicks on the one tank I have been vaping on for 8 months. I also have bellcap tanks and topfill tanks for the STM.

Yes, providing the rubber in those spare gaskets will last 20 years.
Not saying they won't, just be careful how you store them.
Rubber items (even silicone) can deform if they are stored in a distorted shape, including the pressure from the plastic bag they are stored in.
Might be able to freshen them up with some silicone oil, but that could cause them to swell.
There is also the possibility that they might stick to each other in the bag, and then tear when you try to separate them.
Something to research for sure if you are considering storing them for extended periods.

I'm not so worried about o-rings, food grade o-rings are easy to find and replace, you just need to know the measurements. But for just the convenience factor it's not a bad idea to pick up a few backups.

Absolutely true but those tools did not have fine threads did they? Besides that was before engineered obsolence started up.
Again it comes down to quality and they still make very good items that don't have engineered obsolescence. The Authentic Squape is an amazing engineered piece of art, just like my Authentic Velocity. They are both crafted works of art which is why they expensive, but you get what you pay for. I'm too poor to buy cheap ya know ;)

Simple. PULL out the drip tip and you can see the top of the chimney. In mind there is less than a haid line crack between the top of the tsnk and chimney. Not enough to leak Juice but enough to prevent a solid vacuum.

The O rings On tge drip tip is even weaker than that dividion between tge chimney anf the top of the tank

I had an authentic Squape RS. Didn't like the build deck that came with mine and sold it on eBay before even christening mine.

The deck is one of the easiest decks to build on plus the deck and the chimney is non-conductive.

As for getting burned on Authentics, you just need to be "selective". Very good quality authentic's I have are the Hannya and Hatty by Blitz, 2 Velocity's (they are a work of art!), Lycan, Boreas, Crown.

I've been bitten by clones, Succubus, Nixon, and a few others. But again I've also been bitten by an Authentic also, the Vicious Ant AX1 was the biggest piece of crap I've ever bought, pure garbage.

Anyway moral of the story is to be selective and do your homework ;)

My kids got me a Pico. I'm wondering how my 4 kiddos came up with the money.

At this point, I'm not asking how. Just glad I got another back up for my back up back up.............

Most of your cute kids are guarding the cushion change so that's likely the source of funding.

I've heard those are good but never tried. My recommendation for something to "stockpile" (if I was going to even bother) would be to grab 1:1 Derringer from FT. It still IMO is the best dripper out there, quality is amazing, and I'm pretty sure they're under $10 still. Same goes for the Kayfun clones...great value and that gives you a tank.

Another fan of the Derringer here. They can be adjusted down for MTL, and the flavor is fantastic! The other I'm a fan of for MTL is the IGO-L. Both available from Fasttech under $10. For RDA's the Kayfun Mini V3 is my pick. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the Kayfuns. Lots of spare parts available, including SS tanks.
