Have any of you heard of this website called reasonablevapes.com? I've never heard of them before, but they've got a deal on a Kabuki clone for $10. What do you think? Should I pull the trigger?

Kabuki Tank Clone – $10.99 - ReasonableVapes

I would say, No, don't pull the trigger on one, and it pains me to say that because I happen to own 6 authentic ones and it is my favorite tank, but, in all good conscious I won't recommend any tank at this time that only takes premade coils considering the FDA deeming and states regulations popping up all over. You would have to stock up on premade coils and that will be costly versus buying a tank that is rebuildable capable.

Pg & vg don't freeze solid so just about 1/2" of space at the top should work. They do get thicker so probably take up a little more spcen but not much.

What you say is true they do not freeze solid at -20 but even if they did freeze solid the glass would not break. Water expands when frozen, nothing else does. A small miracle that.

Both the BDC and BVC coil heads can be rebuilt

Do you rebuild yours?
It has been many years since i usedthe Nautilus Mini.

Just letting people know that the Kabuki used Nautilus coils and both kinds of coils for the Nautilus (BDC or BVC) are Rebuildable.

I use RTAs exclusively now. Kayfun Monster Mini V3 and silverplay nano.

Few other substances expand while freezing, but water's not the only one (silicon, gallium, germanium, antimony, bismuth, plutonium).

In 4 years I have never had a bottle of nick break in the freezer, and I have stored well over 100 bottles over that period of time. I leave about 1/2" in the neck. The only mishap I have had was one bottle where the cap had a defect and some nic "wicked" down the side of the bottle. I do keep my bottles in a plastic shoe-box tote. This way if anything ever did happen it functions as spill containment and prevents my freezer from getting fouled.

You can build it for about Anything you like. I know Many people who Build there Subtank Mini's at 1.5 Ohms or More. I myself build it many times at 1.1 Ohms. Hits Get.

That, and I have about 350 of these Coils in my Vape Drawer.

$3.54 Pre-Coiled Wires for Rebuildable Atomizers (100-Pack) - 29 AWG / 0.3mm dia. / 1.1ohm / 12*12mm leads / 5 loops at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

So it is a Snap to just pull out a Coil, Wick and Prime it, and away you go.

So how does the air flow compare to a Kayfun? I like a little restriction similar to a cigarette filter as opposed to wide open lung hit mode. The KF4 is fine and I usually remove the tiny hole drip tip on a KF3 and replace it with an open tube design.

I suppose any premade coil technically could be rebuilt but not only is it a serious pita (for me anyways) since they were not designed to be rebuilt over and over they have no longevity with parts that wear out quickly which puts you right back to stockpiling a good amount of premade coils. If you want to buy tanks that only take premade coils good on you but at this point I won't recommend one to anybody and will discourage those stocking up for long term from buying one or from buying mods with internal batteries either... even though technically you could probably take the mod apart and solder in a new battery or two:rolleyes:

Thank you!! So I take the big bottle out, let it come to room temp and then transfer to smaller bottles. I assume I'll keep one of the smaller bottles out for use in juice making. Then do I refreeze the rest of the nic in the smaller bottles?
I do the same thing. I break it down, & wrap the bottles in something to pad the bottles from clanking together, & stick them back in the box the bottles came in. What won't fit back in the boxes (1 - 1/2 bottles) goes into the cup board to use first.

Hey YoursTruli, I definitely need more rebuildable tanks! What have you found to be your favorites? I can build single coils but with my old eyes and arthritis I need a good size build deck!

I rebuilt OCC heads for my SubTank Nano for about a year then wanted more airflow.

The only problems rebuding coil heads are.

1 you can't Dry burn tge coils without destroying the insulator.

2 the coil heads can inlh be rebuilt 15-20 times before ruining the insulator.

Some people prize tge Kabuki above all other tanks. I was just letting people know the heads could be rebuilt.

I think rebuilding coil heads is a viable option for those who prefer it.

Conservatively assuming one can get a week out of a coil/wick combo, that dry burning isn't an option and that a head can be rebuilt five times, that's about six weeks per head. If one has a stock of 50 new heads to start, that's approximately a six year supply.

If a coil/wick combo can give more than a week of service*, the supply has a longer lifespan. If replacement insulators are added to the equation allowing more rebuilds, an even longer life is realistic.

I am using pre-built heads in my every day setup and bag them up when I replace them, about every three weeks in my case. I have about a ten year supply before I will need to crack open that full freezer bag and start winding. In the meantime I continue to occasionally use RBA's and tanks that I recoil to complement my blister pack heads.

Looks like I can get away with being a lazy vaper for a decade or so!

* moving to lightly flavored clear colorless liquids will drastically prolong the life of each coil. This strategy is becoming more important in these times.

I rebuilt Kanger coils for a while. You have to have a supply of rubber insulators or NR-R-NR pre-made wires to keep from burning the insulators. Eventually, I just went to Kayfun style RBAs and everything became much easier. $10 worth of wire and cotton lasts a couple of years.

If you can find replacement insulators. That is probably the main issue I have with the nauti coils in the kabuki, 9 or 10 times out of 10 the coil remains in the tank when I take the base off, constantly screwing the coil back into the base (3-5 times a day) stresses the insulator resulting in 1 or 2 still being intact and reusable by the time it would need to be replaced/rebuilt.

You might enjoy the Squape (R) or the Squape Reloaded. Both have good sized thumbscrews with slots on top. That lets you snug down the wire without reaching for a screwdriver until you have both ends secured under the thumbscrews. It's an easy build.

I don't know anything about the Kabuki but would these work?

Thanks Dave! And I really think I would like to try a Kayfun lite plus! I have a Kayfun nano and some mini v3 clones but I would love to try the Lite plus!
