Just want to applaud all you folks that are learning to DIY. I started DIY about 1.5 years ago thanks to ECF and have never looked back What is so strange is that many friends of mine that vape, love how some of my recipes taste. I've shared my recipes with them and have provided DIY instructions to them as well and yet only one of them has actually tried DIY. They complain about the cost of retail e-juice but have yet to help themselves. Kind of strange it seems to me. Hey I guess if you can afford retail then all is good and fine but then don't complain about it... LOL. I'm grateful to have learned DIY and enjoy the self sufficient piece of mind it provides. It is great to be a part of this community. It's not always easy and many recipes wind up in the trash but all in all DIY totally rocks.:)
I wish I had decided to start sooner. I still have 3 x 120ml bottles of RY2K I bought on sale at a shop that will no longer be carrying that brand and it cost me $100 for the 360ml... I haven't found a clone recipe for it yet but I know what flavors go in it and once I work up something similar I can probably make it for 7 or 8 dollars myself.

About 6 liters.
5 separate 1 liter bottles on the bottom and about 1 liter broken down into 120 ml bottles on the top shelf (maybe a little more than a liter will fit on the top shelf).
What I did was put 5 liter bottles on the bottom. The I removed the included shelf and cut a piece of card board to fit inside the freezer and l laid it on top of the liter bottles. I then use the cardboard as the top shelf and put my 120 ml bottles on it. This way I have a nice even top shelf.
The bottom line is that the liter bottles are about an inch too tall to fit in the bottom portion so it is easier to just remove the included shelf and make your own out of cardboard.
I have mine all broken down into 4oz bottles. Two liters in all. Thinking about getting a third. So I guess it would hold at least 4 liters broken down then huh?

Personally I prefer to not break them down, until I run out ... then reusing the same bottles, break down another liter.
It will keep longer with less light and air exposure, so just break one liter down at a time, as needed, is my :2c: worth

The expense of multiple orders of little bottles, ugh!

Thats what makes me so :censored: frustrated about people that paying $2-5 a coil and knows if the deeming regulations stand that 99% of all vape gear will go bye bye.

But can't get them :censored: to get involved in DIY, rebuilding, advocacy, contacting the representatives or ANYTHING.

sometimes i want to shake them and say Wake the :censored: UP!:2c:

Lock your doors ... they will come begging.

Theyre going to find a devil if a time finding me. I'm going to be on top ofba Mountain 20 miles from the nearest town.

Plan to be there in about six weeks. Packing now.

I remember the stories The little red hen, and the ant and grasshopper too.

Scratch and dent factory lock 1.1 cu. ft. for $90
CMF151L-1SD EdgeStar Compact Medical Freezer With Lock
Last time you posted this I ordered it.
I was just about to order the basic EdgeStar 1.1 C.F. refrigerator / freezer when I ran across this in another thread.
What kind of damage did you encounter with these scratch & dents when they arrived? I fear buying damaged goods when all "Scratch & Dent" units will not carry any warranty and are not eligible for a "buyer’s remorse" return. Note: The original manufacturer’s warranty is not applicable

I've got a 1.1 cuft medical freezer that has a lock. Fits 5 ltrs, holding at -10f
Puffon,
How is your nic packaged in that 1.1 cu. ft. freezer?

I tried to figure it out mathematically & thought I could put 86 bottles of 120 ml each into that space for almost 10 liters.

Again I've found math to be an inexact science since it suggested twice what your practical experience has discovered.

IF is a big word.

I really think they are already awake and perhaps don't see things quite the same way as you do.;)

Given that the rest of the real-world supply chain isn't even in the US, and the fact that it will take years, if not decades (and that is IF the many lawsuits don't change quite a lot of things about the regs) for the FDA to process pieces of paper for *every single* piece of vaping hardware, not to mention tens of thousands of elqiuids.

Now on top of FDA manpower (severely lacking to do even 1/4 of this task) , you're telling me U.S. Customs and the USPS, Fed Ex, DHL, and UPS are going to add personnel, forms, and processes to their organizations just to dedicate themselves to vapers and vaping? o_O
When only about 10% of the nation vapes?

There are people under TPD restrictions who have no problem ordering nic base from places in Asia (and it's very good). Where do you think most vendors are getting it?

I could go on, since i read a lot in the investment communities, and know the names of all the billionaires that are in and behind the vaping biz. I guess you think they are just going to take walk and sell pet rocks or something?

People just keep reading the regs that aren't even final til 8/8/2018, and assume that everything in there is going to happen, without even considering the kind of resources it would take to make it all happen.

There are already companies in Asia "capitalizing" on this knowing it is the next wave. They are going to get rid of selling what they were selling and concentrate on this new market.........DIY

esp. now that they know US companies are somewhat hamstrung about sending out nicotine. Most of the nic is sourced there anyway, and where your US vendor gets it. It will be "discreetly packaged" on that you can count.

I think there are a lot of things going on quietly behind the scenes that the public is not even aware of.
I had something odd happen with a purchase last week. I think the cc processors and getting ready to track or maybe halt transactions like Paypal has done.

Most of the time I use a debit card that also serves as a credit card and I only put as much money in the account to make the purchase. That way if the card is ever compromised there is nothing in the account but a couple of dollars. Last weekend, I made a purchase from a vendor that I have purchased from for almost 4 years. My card was denied. I thought maybe I put the numbers in wrong, so I ran it again and the bank locked my card. I knew that I had more funds in that account than I needed for this particular purchase because I was going to make several purchases. It was the weekend so I went ahead and used a cc to make the purchases.
Monday morning when I called to inquire why my card was being denied, she put me on hold and came back and quoted the amount that had been denied twice and said that those purchases were listed as 'Cigar & Tobacco now. That the processing company had just made some changes and this was a new category. She was very chatty and seemed a little nervous. I point blank asked her if the charges were denied simply because they were in that category. She stumbled around over that for a minute and then tried to reassure me that something that either I had done on my end, or something in the system had triggered a red flag, so the sale was denied and my card was locked.

HMMMMMMMM---I didn't buy it--My gut tells me that they are all getting set up to deny those purchases in the future because the processing companies will not process them if they are in the 'new Cigar & Tobacco category. If that is going on--then I am sure the USPS / Fed EX/ UPS etc. are all have 'meetings' as to how they will proceed.

Our problems may escalate sooner than we think--the vendors my have two years, but even though they have two years, if you can't pay for it, and it can't be delivered then...we have a problem.

Fantastic article in Australia where a professor writing an article for one of our major newspapers has spoken about the benefit of e-cigs and said that the ban on nicotine (which has been in place since before vaping was a thing) should be removed.

New Nicotine Alliance is a new Australian vaping activist group similar to CASAA and has put in a submission to government to consider changing the laws to allow the sale of nicotine in Australia.

If our little country can move in this positive direction by taking on board the evolution of knowledge on vaping then why can't the U.S.?

Nicotine vaping should be legal
