I always test my backup/stash mods for a week and then rebox them.
Nothing like counting on an untested backup and then finding out it is defective.
I also check out all my clone repair parts. Found 4 of 5 STM bases did not work. 510 pin too short. Now need to build them up and smooth them back down to fix them.
Yeah I also would recommend finding a source of a Machine shop, I was able to find one fairly close. I've planted the seeds and pretty confident that if it comes down to it I can get some parts machined at a fairly reasonable cost. Even so far as maybe making a basic mech mod.

Can't really think of a mod or atty with year life expectancy.

I've got 3 Subtank Mini's that are a year old and have not had to even replace the o-rings. The Sigelei 100w plus box, albeit shows wear do to not having it in the sleeve, still runs strong.

If your experience with mods are a year, maybe you might want to specify which ones are not living that long.

Been prepping for the last few months "and" on at least every other week writing my representatives. I list the legit studies including the Royal Academy of Physicians statement on Vaping. I also state that not only will I not vote for any Representative that supports the FDA's regulations on Vaping but will actively work to have them replaced.

Bottom line though, I know that we are screwed and the real best hope we have is lawsuits that will slow down the enforcement. Big "Old" well established money is behind killing Vaping for Tobacco is a very old Institution and too many organizations have been built up around it. Those selling it and those getting people off of Tobacco dependence, Vaping is putting them out of business and they're out to protect their lifestyle.

Call me cold but I really will not have any sympathy for those who have not prepared and learned the basics like coil building. Making coils is so very simple, with a tiny bit of practice one can knock out a basic coil in just a couple of minutes. It's not like we haven't known this has been coming down on us.

It's simple, you have two choices

1. Learn to build and invest a couple hundred $$$ in 100mg nic juice
2. Quit or go back to the Stinkies

EXACTLY!

That is why i decided to take the lid gloves off.

If i can rebuild and DIY Ejuice without dying i would say that 85% of the vapers that don't could. Those who are unable to think clearly or have limitations worse thatn mine could do two things.

1. Get involved in advocacy.

2. Stockpile the stuff they will need and find two or three vapers who could be able and willing to build coils and DIY Ejuice for them.

They may be unable to do some things buf my goodness the 8/8/2016 date is only 9 -10 weeks away!

What is it going to take to wake these sheeple up!

Actually all my tanks and mods that are over a year old are fine. My Chana mod still looks and works like new.

But most/all are no longer sold. So it would be hard base a year to year price as the V9 would be out and V's 1-8 would be on clearance.

I wonder how many B&M's will close due to having to get a tobacco retailers license?
And how many on-line sellers too due to online tobacco products ordering restrictions and the photo ID age verification thingy? Online sellers will have to get tobacco retailers licenses as well in some states.

I expect that some B&M's cannot get a tobacco retailers license due to background checks and such.

No V9's could be sold due to not having new product approval from the FDA.

There are places that require state issued photo I.D. and signed delivery for ammunition. Maybe the same would apply?

Been thinking about those....
Got from Vaporbeast?

Sure did and used the code VAPEON for a 9 dollar drop in total price with free shipping.

Can't beat that.

Was thinking of doing a quick teardown video of the daily driver.

You interested in seeing it?

Maybe but some states prohibit all online tobacco product sales....
And many will require that the retailer get a tobacco retailers license. If you have a bad criminal background no license.

Would you ( or any one else ) care to make a friendly wager on prices for a staple of vape products. You chose a number of popular items currently in the market ( some mods, some atties and nicotine as well ). My prediction is that on average prices will be the same or lower on June 1, 2017.

In which States?............................for shopping purposes, only.o_O

Yeah I'm not at the bottom of the Rabbit Hole, I'm digging it ;)

Seriously though I was perfectly a happy Vaper buying stock coils and vaping on my standard Regulated Mods. The Government and Regulatory arms of governments pushed me into the world of DiY juice, coil building and Mech Mods. I used to say I'd never go down that route, well they pushed me. But to be honest, I really, really enjoy it and it has turned into a hobby for me now.

I wrap a lot of wire for friends and family and teach others as much as possible all while trying to learn even more. When the regulations hit I know there will be a very active and vibrant underground network. The Genie has been let out of the bottle and as much as they try to kill it the result will be an even stronger community.

With mg mangled left hand i didn't think i could rebuild, and didn't want to DIY juice. I was scared i would poison myself with nicotine.

I was hogtied and happy with my ST Nano until i started having problems with in consistent coils. Some popped and spit Juice in my Mouth, and others were crammed so tight with cotton they burned at 17 watts when they were Rated for 49-35 watts. Don't remember right now.

I watched Rip Trippers rebuilding the OCC coil heads and he made it STUPID simple, and thought "Heck i think i can do that." my vaping life progresed and I wanted more flavor and airflow so i went RDAs then RTAs, then I got a 60 or 120 ml of 52 ml/mg nic just to let my Mad scientist experiment. I played around with my ejuice calculator for about two weeks until i sort of undeestood what it was doing. I made a single flavor ,(Strawberry) the eJuice was good buf not great and u didn't die so i started prepping because i knew various state and local governments were trying to kill vaping, and as a person who has been trained in survival if something is important to me i prep just in case the expletive hits the fan.

Hello again everybody.

I too ought to stay out of stockpile threads. Every time I go back in for a reading session I end up buying something.

Today's addition to the haul includes a DNA device and a few more RTAs. Another liter of nicotine and the requisite accoutrement are also on the way.

But as for the "contributory" part of this comment, I also did a realistic inventory of all my existing (but cleaned, boxed, and not in current use) equipment and the order in which I would use them, if online sales are halted in August. Realistically, what do I own that I will truly enjoy using (not just using because it's what I have left) versus what do I need in order to maintain the lifestyle to which I have become accustomed (lol).

It turns out that my last-resort vapeocalypse stash looks a lot more like some older, more questionable RDAs than I feel comfortable with relying upon, say, 5-10 years in the hypothetical future. I'm currently in the process of eliminating any premade-coil tanks from the Offical Stockpile so the imagined whole of my stock isn't as big as previously thought to be.

This means more Avocados, Griffins, Kayfuns, and a few other RTA models I haven't tried yet.

As for mods, I've got the expected mech mod but that will be used in the event of emergencies ONLY (as in, everything else is gone). Four REOs (one needs the spa) and 8 or 9 regulated mods, kept in their boxes and some unopened. I'm going to buy about four more and I have a "wish list" and a "realistic list."

My goal is to hope for the best but prepare for the worst and in case my husband decides to start vaping, I want to have very good equipment ready for him, too.

It felt good getting my ducks in a row and knowing what I have and what I need. It also allowed me to clearly understand what I need to buy replacement parts for.

Thats the way i prep. Hope for best. Prepare for worst just in case the worst happens.

Yep. We're all in this together. Even the unwashed masses who still use drippers or tanks. :p
What say ye about those of us whom inhabit both realms ;) I really like my REOs mods, and my Pthingies with tanks, Gennies and drippers
