All sold out. Sorry.

For 1.99 I thought they would be garbage, but are nice.
I knew they would not last so I bought a couple.
I got a brass Nemesis clone for $1.99 and a Panzer clone for $2.99. I'm pretty sure I barely got in on time since those were the only colors left. In fact, the only Panzer they had left was a stainless display model. They called and asked if it was OK with me since it had no box. I told them to send it. Got them both and immediately stashed them away. Have never used a mech mod, but I'll pull them out and try them when the mood strikes. I'm sure there will be other mech clearance deals on the horizon.

I don't currently DIY, but I'd like to be prepared for the future. It's my understanding that, despite deeming regs, I would still be able to obtain flavorings, PG, and VG in the future. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Having nicotine base is where I should focus my resources now, correct? If I plan to buy 100/mg nic and I vape about 6mls/day at 12 mg, can someone help me determine how many liters of base I would need for, say, 5 years?

Flavorings will be OK, you'll just need to figure out where to purchase them. PG and VG will be OK, they are used in many different applications outside of vaping.

6mls X 12 mg/ml = 72 mg nic per day
72 X 365 = 26'280 milligrams per year
26'280 X 5 = 131,400 milligrams for 5 years

131,400 divided by 100 mg/ml = 1,314 ml of 100 mg/ml

1.5 liters should do it.

if the electronics gives out in a regulated mod I can easially convert it to a mosfet mech or a VV Hexohm type of mod. The chips hexohm uses are off the shelf std electronics parts not vaping specific.
I also ordered some 510 connectors and battery sleds.
Hammond boxes are not vaping specific either.

I like the way you think. I use regulated mods, but if/when they die I'll have NO problem turning them in to mechs. I'm going to buy a couple of rebuildable atomizers, but I don't really see coil building materials going away. Likewise for VG/PG. Too many non vaping uses, although I may have to find some different suppliers.
The only other real concern is nicotine base. I might have to stock up on on that.

Can someone tell me what is the best way to store nicotine in the freezer? Is it best to store it in the container it came in or do you guys transfer it to glass? What about thawing ?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

When it comes to storing liquid nic, oxidation is the enemy.
  1. Exposure to oxygen causes nic to oxidize so transferring liquid nic into glass containers is a must if longevity (>3 years in storage) is a goal. Oxygen can't permeate through glass but can through plastic. Glass Boston round bottles with poly-cone caps are ideal (most premium e-juice comes in Boston round glass bottles). Choose a size that provides you about a 6 months nic supply that way you can pull just what you need from the freezer when it's needed. Fill each bottle so that there's a minimum head space to reduce the amount of air trapped/sealed inside, the small tapered neck on Boston rounds are ideal for minimizing head space/trapped air. Be sure to label the bottles with content and the date stored for stock rotation.
  2. Heat causes nic to oxidize, placing nic in a freezer greatly slows oxidation, the colder it's kept the slower it will degrade. Neither PG nor VG will freeze solid at the temperatures a residential freezer is capable of generating they just get very thick like syrup. Unlike water neither PG nor VG expands at these temperatures so glass containers are perfectly safe to use. Even so I place my stored bottles of nic inside plastic storage trays in case I somehow manage to break one while inside the freezer, any spillage would then be fully contained.
  3. Light (UV) causes nic to oxidize so protecting nic from direct light is required. Most people use opaque (colored) glass bottles for storage and use. The inside of a freezer is dark which eliminates UV degradation so clear glass bottles would work just fine for storage but once a bottle is removed for use it would then need to be protected.
  4. Since liquid nic doesn't freeze solid, once removed from the freezer it doesn't need to be thawed. However, since both PG and VG are highly hygroscopic and will pull/absorb moisture from the air, ice cold nic should be allowed to warm to room temperature before opening the bottle. Otherwise condensation would rapidly form and be directly absorbed.

And while we are all trying to figure out exactly what we need to stockpile before these deeming regs go into full operations there are some things we can do to try to slow them down or even better, try to get them changed. I know, wishful thinking but if we don't at least try then they win without firing a single shot.

If you haven't already, Please take a moment to read and sign this petition and once done you may want to take a few minutes to watch this short video that lets us know exactly what we are up against.

This week I'm going to call a few restaurant supply houses for flavorings, and see if they sell to the public. Don't tell them what you are doing if you are not using it for baking.

Make sure they are water based and NOT oil based. There are two types.

just google capella food flavorings, you'll find what you need from many sources. This is an easy one.

Ohhh... I know, I'm thinking down the road if the FDA makes purchases from certain companies req an EIN, or federal tax ID number. I'm looking at everything.

I'm even wondering if it would make sense to get an EIN and say I'm a baking company.

I know rebuilding and DIY is intimidating. I will give you that. I was scared the first few times i did it.

I found out that rebuilding and DIY is NOT THAT HARD.

There is NO way in HELL I WOULD GO BACK TO TANKS AND PREMADE COILS THAT SUCK.

If i can rebuild and DIY with 1 1/2 hands.

Sorry but what's their excuse?

I don't have much sympathy for people that have been told this is coming for two years and choose to do nothing about it.

I hope they like cigarettes, BLU, Mark 10, etc.
I haven't gotten in to DIY (until now) because I can have a satisfying vape using pre-made coils, and commercial juice. Why complicate things?
Beyond finding a couple of rebuildable atomizers that I like, and (maybe) stocking some nic base, I really don't see any reason to do much more. Most DIY supplies (VG/PG, cotton, coil wire, even batteries) AREN'T going away. They have too many uses that the FDA has NO jurisdiction over. Are they going to deem model airplanes a tobacco product? How about automobiles? See a big push to ban theatrical fog machines?
I have 3 regulated devices, ONE of which has removable batteries. I'll have NO problem converting any of them to work as mech mods, if/when I need to. Project parts from my local electronic store, are all I'd need.
BTW Can YOU turn a replacement tank glass from 318 stainless? I can.
Stop being so rude.
