Hmm...interesting. Never thought about that happening.

Sorry about my ignorance, but is a JB?
I am pretty handy. I used to work in a machine shop years ago.

I have an old 20w istick that is stripped. Only one I have ever had that did it. I didn't over tighten it or anything. It's an older one. Maybe they had problems with them back then. I kept it because I thought I could eventually fix it. So any information will be extremely helpful to me. It will add another mod to my stockpile.
There is thread repair kits at automotive places like Oreilly or Autozone that repair stripped spark plug threads, might be an option? It is an epoxy of sorts that you aplly and screw your atty or any srew in and let cure. After curing you unscrew and wa la new threads.

JB Weld is marketed as a sort of "liquid metal" that sets up and is said to be hard as steel. It is used to rebuild "missing" metal, and re-build stripped threads, among other things.

Did you know that she with the new regulations in New Jersey only three flavors of ejuice will be allowed to be sold.

Either prep or i hope you like tobacco, menthol or clove.

Sounds like the government is trying to get kids addicted to smoking, by only offering ejuice in tobacco, menthol, or clove.

I'm guessing this is what JB Weld is. Never used it myself. Presumably it is electrically conductive or you couldn't use it in this kind of application.

The method you described would be a lot easier than putting it on the female threads and then recutting the threads with a tap when it had dried. I'm not sure how it would work though. You would have to depend on the Weld stuff sticking to the female threads on the mod. But if you screw in the tank while it cures wouldn't it also stick to the tank threads?

Maybe I'll look it up on the web, I'm curious now.

Thats the beauty part, the spark plugs could be unscrewed and new threads would be made. With JB weld the spark plug could never be unscrewed or replaced. I am not sure how the stuff works but when I was a mechanic 10 years ago we tried this stuff in a 280z we were working on and it was amazing, and saved the guy a lot of money. the conduction of electricity takes place at the base of where the spark plug tightenens on the head, so I dont think its conductive.

Thanks for the heads up on the Vape Happy sale on the Kanger Subtanks guys. Wanted to get a stash of those for my daughter. Great tank for the money, but has anyone figured out a way to rebuild the occ heads or found a cheaper source to purchase them versus 15.00 for 5. Just curious and thanks again.
Those were a great deal. I picked up three. The rebuildable tank that comes with them is very easy to build. I did my very first rebuild on one last week. After a re-try on the wicking it has become my favorite tank this week. Give it a try. You might surprise yourself. Vape is much better than the occ heads and zero leaking.

Thanks for the advice, I havent tried the rba heads yet but the occ heads are good enough\, wow thats encouraging to know that it will be better with the rba heads. Is anybody selling a stainless steel replacement tank for these that you know of, shes kind of klutzy. I might have to get more of these to replace my Taifuns.

I rebuilt the OCC heads of my Subtank Nano.

Plenty of them on You Tube.

Building horizontal coils on the OCC heads are stupid simple.

They went to vertical coils after i left the nano.

So search YouTube for rebuilding tge SSOCC heads

Seriously? The Chinese ship millions and millions of dollars worth of counterfeit goods to the United States each year. They don't care about the FDA.

I am not talking about counterfeits goods.... They will seize the shipments in US Customs if they are not
FDA approved and the recieving party here in the USA will more than likely get an un-friendly visit from the ATF.

Fasttech has replacement RBAs for the Kanger subtank Mini.

A third party made an RBA that us supposed to fit the Subtank Nano

I bought two of them, and will be testing tge Nano RBA.

Usually home Made coils and good wicking has much better flavor than the premade coils.

Thank you Two Bears for the advice on the Subtank mini, I dont suppose the minis head is interchangeable with the nano head are they? And back on subject, yes I too am prepared and stocked. Have been preparing for a couple years, I knew it was inevitable. Our state is also against online tobacco sales so you know we are going to be majorly restricted. If you need anything in the future let me know, were probably neighbors.

5-minute epoxy is good for that kind of thing.
Put it on the flat part of the adapter, not the threads.
If you need to remove it, drop it in a pan of water and boil it for a couple of minutes - the epoxy will let go and peel off easily.
I use this for workholding on my metal lathe all the time.

Sounds like the government is trying to get kids addicted to smoking, by only offering ejuice in tobacco, menthol, or clove.

Obama banned cloves grouping them in with flavors in 2009. A swipe of his pen and boom! I was ...... I like to partake in cloves. So, I don't know if that will be considered.

But yeah these jerk offs suck!
