Long Term Nic Storage

Awesome, thanks Mike! The V2 Armor comes in glass bottles that are supposedly purged of air and hermetically sealed, and I get the 100% VG anyways, so I suppose I'll just keep on keepin on.

Weren't most flavors used before vaping got big just flavors you could get for candy making. If that is the case I don't see why current flavor companies couldn't just rebrand and keep selling their flavors as being used for something other than vaping? I'm I wrong on this assumption?

That's exactly correct. I'd assume most flavor companies would do exactly that (if they don't already; I've only been DIY'ing for a month, but I've already stumbled across quite a few flavor companies who don't advertise to the vaping market at all).

It's cheaper to buy the full liter of V 3 then 2- 500 of the v2. It's just odd. You would think the v3 would be more. Maybe the liter is easier for them than 2-500.

Maybe the packaging adds to it as well? I've never purchased the V3, but I can tell you the V2 comes in what appear to be incredibly thick, high-quality glass bottles.

I dont have a clue why the delta in price, but I do know that they dont go above 500ml in the V2 because the bigger bottles couldnt handle pulling that much of a vacuum. Might just be a quantity thing with the V3, bigger batches, less labor etc.

I have only used Wizard and no complaints. My 3 year frozen Wizard nic was clear and fresh when I took it out recently, vaping it now. I did order some Nude nic just to have on hand but the rest I have is Wizard.
Thank you!!! I just ordered 3 gallons because of that great sale. Crossing my fingers. That's not near enough probably (hopefully, or I'm dead in 10 years lol!) but I'm hoping I can reduce my nic usage to <=3mg over the next year or so.

Maybe this is already here somewhere and I just can't find it...

But I'm thinking we need to start a new high-level topic called Open Source / DIY Hardware. Specifically to share schematics, tutorials and instructions for building (and reverse-engineering / cloning) our favorite hardware, including 3D files for parts that can be created that way, and links to anything that can be found in hardware stores and/or online. This is the obvious next step for those of us that have no intention of quitting. Stockpiling is all well and good, but we are still at the mercy of others when it comes right down to it. What do y'all think?

I've scoured the existing topics and threads, and the problem is lack of focus, as I see it. Too scattered and not really addressing the entire DIY process from start to finish except in isolated posts. Hopefully the OP for those that are useful will x-post or revise for the new area. And again, this is about way more than RDA rebuilding. This is hardcore building - everything from mech mods to our own box mods.

I've already written the hexohm folks asking if, when they finally shut down because of the FDA, they will consider open sourcing their hardware plans, to help keep the community alive. No reply as of yet but it's very early days still.

Why sure, we all seem a bit more than a little paranoid. Why stock up now when there might be 2 years to do so?

The thing is, where I live online tobacco product sales are outlawed. How long will it be before the rest of the country/world decides to not ship to my state? I don't know about others but I'm not taking my chances.

Why worry about online sales as there is always B&M's popping up on every corner right? The way I see it, it is the online sales that keep the local B&M's in check. Unbridled competition. Take the competition away and what do YOU think the locals are going to do? Lower their prices? I think not.

Then there's the State and local taxes. Suddenly they have a new tobacco product line to tax. Recall that ~60-90% of the cost of a pack of smokes is taxes and you start getting the idea.

Yeah 08/08/17 we'll likely still be able to get much of what we can get now. However the $64 question is at what cost?

Since I'm able to afford it NOW I'm buying ahead. My guess is that before the Feds/State/Local's are done it might be less expensive to smoke cigarettes.

My feelings exactly, the noises on federal, state and local levels are kinda hard to oeverhear:

Plenty of politicians and officials who can't wait to get their grubby hands into the vapers' pockets too.

So why not use the opportunity to squirrel some away while it's still affordable and available ?

With some of the numbers floating around re taxation, that stash of yours in the basement freezer could soon be worth more than the house 'n lot sitting on top of it :)

It's always about TEOTWAWKI! You can never be too prepared. I've been reading a lot of post apocalyptic and EMP books lately.
Yeah I dont think rubber is gonna be much help with an EMP, but maybe I'm wrong. That faraday cage, on the other hand, might...

The FDA has the authority to mandate to U.S. credit card companies what they can take money for?
Since when?

Is the FDA going to reimburse the credit card companies for all that lost business money?

NOBODY tells the credit card companies what to do except in the very rare circumstances where Congress slaps their wrist for them raping the American populace.

Credit cards won't be an issue if people start paying for stuff with bitcoins I know fasttech already accepts excepts them.

So it took the government 13 years to figure out that alcohol prohibition was a mistake. So I am praying it only takes them half as long to figure out that ecigs are actually a GOOD thing. So how much nic for 8 years. I know there is a way to figure it out but I am horrible at math. I have the correct numbers though. If anyone can help? I vape 3 ML of 12 mg a day. I will be buying more nic then I already have but need a total. Any help?

If you haven't, please take the survey at the top of the page. It is the first I've seen, that actually asks the right questions. Whether or not our Govt. cares about the ANSWERS, is another matter. But hope springs eternal, right?

I think most of our politicians hate America. Look what they are doing to our health right now. It's like they want us to get sick and die, all for big pharma and bt profits. They like to line their pockets and screw the rest of us peasants.
Yeah I think we are doing a damn fine job of destroying the American way of life all by ourselves, thank you very much. Who needs a fatwa?

Great concept, but I am intimidated even contemplating it. It covers a lot of topics. The real challenge would be keeping the thread clean.

V3 comes in a plastic bottle so you would have to rebottle it for freezer storage
Thank you. I looked at the description and it didn't say it was in plastic. So glad you knew. I will be changing my order. I do not want to rebottle.

Long Term Nic Storage

THANK you for that link! 4 years ago, when I started, the accepted wisdom was that VG was a better base for long term storage than PG. I put 500ml of MFS 100mg VG in an unopened bottle in the freezer. I opened it some time around this past February, and it was in every sense I could tell, unchanged.

Reading up on it more recently, it seemed that PG was most often recommended. Not sure when or how the wisdom changed, but I am glad to see this gent advocating VG. It is also my experience, that 4 years results in 0 change in VG based nic.
