That's the way I read it, but also read a few law suits are being filed.

Anyway expect to see more of this this BS all across the country. States are greedy, a lot of them sold bonds when they got the tobacco settlement. Of course the money from the tobacco settlements went to their general fund and then into the pockets of who funded their campaign. So they are out to kill vaping and keep people on Tobacco to protect the revenue stream.

You know, sometimes I feel like I'm in a bad dream. How could people really stoop so low? I could never do this, sell out the health and well-being of thousands, or millions, to pad my wallet- I find it incomprehensible. That's like mass murder for money. How could anyone live with that?

Well more news for those who believe they have another two years to stock up. Just got from Reddit that Pennsylvania just passed an immediate 40% wholesale tax on anything vape related. If that wasn't bad enough they also included an additional 40% floor tax which pretty much kills all the B&M's in that state.

I wonder that too, but for some, money is the only thing that matters.

This is why we need to work to remove them from office and insure that they know why.

Unfortunately, they probably would not care...the why part I mean. They are the type that needs people that they can feel superior to and look down upon while they keep feeding off of our misery and money. They will pay for it eventually.....maybe not in this lifetime,,,,,but it will catch up with them.

Geez poor PA! Things are getting ugly out there.

I wrote and called all my local reps and never heard a thing back. I had a feeling this Pennsylvania vapor tax was going to happen regardless because they never responded. So disappointed! Especially for future vapers and current analog smokers. My local b&m stores which helped me and my friends quit analogs could very well be in trouble. Especially now that the budget has passed and going to take affect soon. Ugh!

Well, it's not good news, and it will hurt their sales. Chances are that not buying online will happen to ensure that they get their tax. But I am not sure that it will put them out of business. We have a 90% tax on cigarettes here. A carton is over $70. People still buy them like crazy so.....

Nah, pretty much kills them, most all will get from online or go back to Tobacco and the B&M's won't be able to survive. But that's what the taxes are meant to do.

heavy vape taxes are a strong sign of heavy corruption in the area govt. --it tells me they overspent the tobacco settlement.

And don't forget Big Pharma. They make fortunes off treatments for people with tobacco related illness. And their useless NRT products.

when I think of citizens going after politicians I 'root' for the citizen,, they have been pushed too far. in china/other places they have public executions for corruption.

After seeing what is happening with taxes in PA effective 8/1/16, I don't feel even a bit foolish stockpiling like crazy. That one is hitting really close to home.

In other news, I have stockpiling on the brain. Last night I had a dream about buying vape gear! Beats the old analog smoking dreams I used to have, but still...

I still have smoking dreams... In Virginia there were two e-liquid tax bills proposed in 2014/2015 but they failed to pass. That was then and this is now though. With The Deeming going into effect, we may see another such bill introduced.

If it will be everywhere like now in PA, I would stockpile only nic. Additional 40% for mods - I can live with it, instead of using outdated ones for life.

The thing is for me anyway. what constitutes outdated. If one has a device that just plain works and works very well for the user why would their device be considered outdated. I know it seems like most have been programmed to think they have to have the latest and greatest or they will be missing something  Never mind me.....I am still using my, considered by some to be outdated, flip phone, isticks and MVP's.

You see, if it all happened 2 years ago, I would stockpile on Vamos. Today I would stockpile on Picos (even if I do not need 75W and TC). The same price ($25), but much better mod. And I stockpiled, I have 2 Picos (and eVic VTwo Mini). So, definite progress even for old style vaping.

I have no problem at all with old tech. If it works, it's good enough for me! Never really had shinyitis when it comes to vaping. If available, I will probably try some newer things, once they have been tested and tried by everyone else, of course. ;) But I will be perfectly happy vaping from my stockpile long term.

I kinda did too but it is mostly replaceable battery devices because I know that my fixed battery devices will someday reach the end of their batteries lifetime. I have a pico and a clouper mini+ but only because I won them in contests. I won one subox mini kit in a contest (it was a pay it forward contest but the person I gave it to gave it back to me :( ) and have to admit that I just bought one because I like the kbox mini that comes in the kit. Don't know if I will ever use the topper that come with them though. I found the old school toppers that works for me and stopped the hunt once I found them. I have several rebuildable toppers but they will be a very last resort for me.

I am not saying that chasing the latest and greatest is a bad thing. In fact we wouldn't have all the choices we have today if not for those that kept working to get new, and in a lot of cases better, products out there for us and folks buying them and giving feedback as to what could be improved. gotta love all the folks that have made the vaping devices we have today and if left alone I can imagine how far we could go but if new products stopped being designed today I think there would still be something out there that would work and work well for everyone. JMHO
