We may have to ask McMaster Carr to have a put a code on their hardware that works on the most commonly used vape gear. It should be a code only the vapers will understand -- like the STMRBASCR (Kanger Subtank Mini rba Screw) or KFL+O (kayfun Lite Plus O Ring) -- you get the idea! I think during the days of prohibition, there were all sorts of codes used to outfox the authorities. We can do the same!

Ummm. No. Great way of taking a great company and forcing them to do things via government regulations that they never intended to comply with.

Law enforcement today is a LOT different than it was back in Prohibition. If you think some type of "code" would go unnoticed, you'll have a very rude awakening.

I think the problem may also be in the fact that the PT coil is open on the bottom where it screws in. The ssocc coil made for the subtank and Nebox is closed. (hope that makes sense :) ) . My first attempt to plug the hole gave me a very stiff draw. Got to work on it some more. ;) Together maybe we can solve the problem :)

Actually, both types of coils have openings on the bottom (that's what allows the airflow). The PT coil opening is on the very bottom of the pin (which restricts the airflow making for a tighter draw), and the STM coil opening(s) are on the side of the pin (which allows for a much greater airflow).

After laying on it's side all night, I picked up my "experiment" and started vaping this morning. It did have a very, very slight leak (gurgle), but not bad enough that I couldn't continue to vape the rest of the tank.

I believe that leak could be remedied by either a flush cut on the bottom of the tubing (to seal it to the top of the coil), or perhaps a slightly smaller diameter tubing.

I've had this tubing for years so I have no idea what the "specs" are but, the ID measures (using a drill bit) at 3/16".

So you think customs or the post office can stop vape hardware getting through?

Customs can open and inspect anything for any reason. They'll learn to recognize the outside of the box and its labeling. China is innovative about their labeling and will find out what works to get through customs if it's possible.

Hardware is still an iffy proposition. I still don't see how hardware can be included as containing tobacco, but it's obviously a tobacco product for FDA's purposes.

My solution is to buy, buy, buy until I have enough hardware to get me through the foreseeable future. I don't like Trump as a first choice candidate, but I see what FDA is doing under a Democratic administration. His VP choice, Indiana governor Mike Pence has publicly said that cigarettes don't kill, so he's probably a big tobacco supporter who might not support ecigs for that reason. Indiana hasn't been vape friendly and that's a reflection on government and this guy was governor.

So it's stock up time for us all!

Or worse yet, Postal Inspectors find that you've been bringing contraband into the country and a year later, after their investigation is completed, you find law enforcement at your door.

The Government has many ways of enforcement. And while many may think it's impossible for them to catch everything, you may find that your number was drawn on the great lottery wheel and they decide to throw the book at you as an example to everyone else.

Can the FDA make juice illegal if it has no nic in it?
How will they police it?
the govt cant even guard our boarders from the drug runners.

as for the FDA,, with them focusing so much energy on policing the vape industry.. it tells you they are not going to be able to keep up with reviewing all of the drugs in the pipeline waiting for results.........basically there is likely a cure for something stuck in the system that cannot get attention because of the ignorance of our govt. --yes,, i actively remind non vape haters of this,, hope you dont need whatever that drug cures.

You would have to be pretty heavy on orders to be noticed, but getting Customs charges for importing is possible.

I mailed a box home one time during an international trip because we were going to go over our baggage weight limit - got the package no problem, but a customs import charge was levied until I proved it was for personal use and it was for used items. Was not easy to avoid paying the charge...

It seems the FDA is being heavy handed, I don't see how they can ban mods, or drippers etc.
If everyone refuses to comply what can the government do?
You see drug paraphernalia in lots of shops and online. Will that be banned?
This will be too hard to enforce, in my opinion.
If it's ever introduced here I won't comply with the law.
If I hear of anyone being taken to court, I'll turn up and demonstrate against the stupid laws, as will many other vapers.

There are federal laws on the books that cannot be enforced without the help of the states. If states refuse or have their own laws on the books, there is little the feds can do. They simply don't have the man power for one, and the Feds are not sovereign the states are.

I posted something like this about 2 months ago:

Overheard in a headshop in 2018 - "Can I vape nicotine out of that?"

Just thought...
Got nic, mods, rta's, rda's and mechs but
I only have the 510 connectors on my various mods
Have ppl also bought 510 connectors on their own, like the fat daddy vapes ones and stuff?

I'm going to buy at least 20 - 510 connectors. A mix from Fat Daddy and Varitube.

I bought the connectors that replace a bad connector on a mod, I have one GLV with a wonky connector that needs replaced. I also bought 510 to 510 adapters to save your connections from wear. I also have 808 and ego adapters so I can use whatever on every mod.

I was going to buy thread savers but heard that they increase resistance. Can anyone dispel this roumer?
