For some of us, it's not the look that keeps us from big battery mods. It's convenience - try dangling one of those from your teeth while riding your bike, or standing in the kitchen, cooking.

It's gonna make your dentist a very, very happy person!
True, but unless you are using an auto battery, what's the point of keeping it in your teeth?
Also, with a BB mod, you get enough of a hit that you don't have to suck it like a pacifier to be satisfied ;)

If you only have one last shot ... ( i really doubt that though :D ) You might want to consider the GGTS. It has to be one of the most configurable mods out there.
Can do all the different voltages out there.
Can handle pretty much all batteries out there.
Has USB and wall charger.
Has AFS (Auto feeding system) which allows you to put a lot more juice in it so you don't need to be refilling and dripping all the time.
Beautiful design
HV atomizers
locking button
4 in 1 connector so you don't need atomizer adapters
All mechanical

I have one on order already but I've also ordered a GGT as a backup.

Alright... You got my interest.. where do I look at one of these things?

Big Chuck is another one I have heard good things about. And he knows that I need to buy juice and the occasional piece/part. He doesn't mind spending money on it here and there, it's just dropping the huge chunk that bugs him.

I will definitely do some research on this PV. Thanks..

ps: What site did you get yours from?

Well... not that I encourage people to manipulate or scare their spouses... but if whatever model you pic doesn't work or you feel like you need to try something else to be sure an brings up the issue of the "big chunk" again... ask if he would rather pay the big chunk for an ecig model ($80 - $200) or the big chunk for chemo (~$30,000.. that is if you have good insurance BTW). It has worked for a friend of mine. Honestly, though this can be a bit of a hobby for many, we are also talking about a device that saves lives... just my 2 cents

[...] A lot of people have suggested a Joye 510 to me, but I can't seem to find a decent review of it. I've found one review and it wasn't a good one. I'd also like to know everything about it. I basically want it dissected in front of me. I do not want to make another mistake.

A 510 is an atomizer that can be used on many different batteries and big-battery "mods". While not exactly what you were asking for, this illustrated guide to the Titan 510 from NHaler, written by DonDaBoomVape, should do the trick:

EDIT: Wow, I just paused for a few secs to look up that link and get a pizza out of the oven, and 3 pages worth of replies had popped up after I hit the "submit" button! lol

ratracer beat me to it. Since you are located in the US ... it would be vaporkings.com

My understanding is Imeo is sending vaporkings more GGTs as we speak. The GGTS is not able to be preordered anymore thru Imeo and Rob doesn't accepts preorders so you will need to keep watching to see when its going to be here. My best guess, from the latest news from Imeo, is that they hopefully will be shipping the GGTS to their distributors next monday. As such, they should be online with vaporkings sometime next week.

Btw just as a bump for Rob, they must have some of the fastest shipping period. I put in my order the GGT this morning at 10am and my full order was shipping by 12pm.

No matter what you get or have you will always see something you think might be better whether its a new ecig or different or more eliquid. IMO most people buy much more than they need. I have several different ecigs including about 20-510s and 2 Little Chucks and enough eliquid to last 2 years but I can't seem to quit wanting others. I see where Totally Wicked is coming out with a Titan Tornado and it looks very promising. Just looking though.

If you've only got one "do over" left, your best best is an "all in one" mod.

For less than the $160 you spent on the Blu, you could get an Xhaler and batteries to run at any voltage and adapters to use any atomizer/cartomizer and stick with whichever you like best as an individual. (In case you hadn't noticed, people have differing tastes. ;) )

For real convenience and interchangeability, I'm afraid I can't personally recommend the 510...and I started out with one! I've fallen for the KR808d-1 in terms of ease of use. The 510 I use when I don't mind tinkering, but I find myself using it less and less these days.

The KR8 is a two piece model: cartomizer + battery. (Other models like the 510, 901, 801, etc. use a three piece design: battery + atomizer + cartridge.) The cartomizer is a neat little self-contained unit with a lot of polyfill in it to hold more juice than your usual unmodded 510 cartridge. It's easy to switch around among cartomizers to change flavors and to switch to a fresh one. They travel easily, don't need to be cleaned (when they run out, you refill them; when they die, you toss 'em), and give excellent flavor.

Edited to add: and the KR8 battery life is better than the 510s. 510 regular = 180mah. 510 mega = 280mah. KR8 regular = 280mah. KR8 mega = 380mah.

Driving is so much easier with the KR8 as well -- no dripping or refilling cartridges, I just pop another cartomizer on.

With the regular 3.7v KR8 batteries the throat hit can be a bit wimpy (IMO, others disagree)...so I got an Xhaler to use with it. The Xhaler can be used at 3.7/5/6/7.4v settings and I have found the 5v setting works perfectly with the KR808d-1 cartomizers. That combo has become my trouble-free setup.

Refilling is a little bit more work with KR8 cartos than with the 510 cartridges, but it takes me like 10-15 minutes a day to refill a ton of cartos for the next day. About the time I'd spend going out for another pack of smokes!

So my completely biased recommendations for a plan?
1. Get a starter kit from Vapor4Life (their Vapor King is a KR808d-1), GoodProphets, Nhaler, many places really.
2. Get some flavored prefilled cartomizers (Vapor4Life offers the biggest selection by far for flavors; prefilled are also available from any place selling the KR8). Buy juice to refill them with. Learn to refill your cartomizers using the tips on this site or the many YouTube videos available.
3. Find a high-voltage mod that fits your tastes and budget. Suggestions include the Xhaler(3.7 or 5 or 6v), the Chuck(3.7 or 6v), the Prodigy(5v), the GLV(5v), or the Silver Bullet (6v) or BB (3.7 or 6v). (Take shorter drags to avoid burning the fill, and be prepared to refill more often, but these make cartomizers rock. Try part-VG juice like Nhaler's High Voltage juices, Ms. T's Bakery, or TastyVapor for a great high voltage vape.)
4. Stock up on blanks from the cheapest source (Mist-Stix w/ code "ECF", HealthCabin's bulk special, other vendors' specials) and fill them yourself.

Just my opinion, void where prohibited, etc. Good luck!

The most practical way to solve the money issue is to trick hubby into making a deal with you, that you will not spend more on vape-related stuff than you used to spend on cigarettes. You have to keep track of it, but the beauty of this deal is that you will save so much money you will be able to buy a new mod every couple of months! After you buy this next model, you will probably break even within a month or two.

Me? I'm golden, because I used to smoke 3 packs a day. That translates into a sizable monthly vape budget! Just make sure to "pad" your old smoking expenses by rounding up the numbers and the packs per day, and inflate the number of single packs you had to buy as opposed to cartons.

I almost feel guilty at times, for a few seconds.

The big drawback to refilling Blu carts is that they have a foil cover. The bridge on the atty pops it as it is set in place. They are the only carts I have seen that are like that. Everything mentioned here has carts with easily removeable filler. That foil on the Blu carts is a pain...and there doesn't seem to be much fill at all. My Sup. has one...she likes it...but she doesn't seem to be having any probs with hers. Me?? If I had the money? I'd go Chuck or GG.

Simple storage - I have to put that thing somewhere, and that's where it is easiest and most conveniently stored. Also got myself an auto battery for riding my bike, safer in traffic.

And I like having that thing between my teeth! :D

I would suggest a mod. I don't have one, yet... but I'm waiting on my Bartleby. It will save you a lot of time and trouble. The 510 is what I started with, and I love it, but the batteries only last about 2 hours each (which might be fine for you). I'd rather have something that lasts longer.

IMO you will get the most bang for your buck from the Xhaler, or the one I went with Bartleby. Other mods seem good too, but I think these were the lowest in price for what you get (I could be wrong).

This may be a simple solution that I haven't seen in this thread. It seems the BLU battery works with a 510 atty. Why not just buy a 510 atty and a pack of carts and try it with your batt. It should work about the same as a 510 with an investment of not more than $15-$20. If you like it, then fork out the money for a full on kit and you end up with extra parts.

Oh trust me, in the end, I can guilt hubby into letting me buy just about anything I desire.. I just don't like to do it too often, I like to save that ammo.

He also smokes about a pack a day not to mention 70$ of the green stuff a week.

So it's like, oh pls. I can pay this 70$ big investment and then 20$ a month after that for my little hobby and you can snuff it.

Ya dig?

My cousin has a luci and I gave him my old 510 kit. The 510 atty does fit on it, but it doesn't work as well. I'm not sure if it will be the same for the Blu. It could be possible that his battery was dieing.
