After several false starts and stops, I have finally made it an entire year without an "analog" cig.

My wife went cold turkey about 2 years ago when she was diagnosed with the early stages of COPD. I got tired of smoking outside so I used the e-cig at home but still smoked at work. Eventually, I quit smoking at work as well and started using the e-cigs full time.

I tried all kinds of various e-cigs and mods in the process but what has finally kept me going are the 11000 mAh variable voltage eGo Twists. I started out with 32mg liquids and running at 5V (4.8 if you're picky). I'm now down to 24mg liquid and generally between 4 and 4.5V with the eGos.

The only downside is we had to get new luggage because we started noticing how much our clothes were smelling like regular cigarettes every time we went on a trip. The smoke had totally permeated our old luggage and no matter what we tried, we couldn't get the smell out. Got tired of smelling like a bonfire every time we went somewhere so we bought new suitcases and our stuff smells a lot better now! :D

Congrats to you both Willie!!

Here's to many more..breathing freely with ease:toast:

I'd never thought about the luggage! I know we had our first cold snap and I had gotten some coats/sweaters out of the hall closet and was HIT with the smell of it..wash/dry clean/Fabreeze to the rescue!! Wow did we really smell of that? it's awful!!

carpets cleaned, and last night when we came in..it smelled GOOD finally..like someone baking bread (might've been the peach pecan bread pudding I"d made the night before) but finally our home doesn't stink of stinkies.*happy dance*

Thanks, everyone.
I almost broke a few times but stuck to my guns. Glad I did. :)

The luggage was a bummer. I've had that set since I graduated high school over 25 years ago so it was hard to let it go. We literally tried everything to get the smell out though. Even left them outside for a week wide open. (Surprised they didn't get stolen :D ) Febreeze, dryer sheets, orange scented stuff..... Nothing got rid of the smell. They had to go. :(
