I'm entering the "Driven To Quit" contest and need a buddy to help with moral support ( I don't think I should enter my KSD eGO as my buddy,) So if any one is interested, check out the sight & get back to me. It's an Ontario contest so my buddy has to live in Ontario.

If I should be so lucky as to win , my Buddy would also win.

BTY, if any other Ontarioans need a buddy in the contest, I am more than willing to oblige. :D

Can I use e-cigarettes while participating in The Challenge?
E-cigarettes are not regulated as a nicotine replacement therapy and are not for legal for sale in Canada. As we do not know enough about the nicotine levels in e-cigarettes, using them may produce a positive result for cotinine in your urine test and you may be disqualified as a winner, even if you did not use tobacco. We do not recommend using e-cigarettes.

Well I guess that leaves me out

This Cotinine test refers to detecting the byproduct of nicotine that has been inhaled. In the driven to quit FAQ, it mentions the nicotine inhaler is approved. My point is that how would they prove the difference between Ecigs and the nic inhaler?

I assume the nic inhaler would test an individual positive for Cotinine the same as Ecigs would. So why can't we just say (if asked that is) that we used the nic inhaler? Which of course isn't far fetched as it shares shelf space with the gum and patches.

IMO the only reason they say not approved is because of the legal issues of Ecigs in general. Not that they will give you a "bad" urine test. I mean did they really have a choice when contemplating the approval of Ecigs for the contest? Not really when it would advocate their use, which would go against Health Canada. That wouldn't help the reputation of the people running the contest.

I entered 3 weeks ago and I'm not worried at all of being disqualified.
