Hello fellow vapers,
I recently started taking an oral probiotic lozenge every day and I'm wondering if anyone has any insight on how vaping might affect its effectiveness.
The probiotics are working great so far--no more bad breath or white tongue...ew I know! However, I've known of the anti-microbial properties of PG for awhile now and I'm concerned my vaping may be killing the helpful little bacteria.
My standard procedure is to have the lozenge melt in my mouth right before bed. That way, I at least can delay vaping until the morning. Some scientific answers would be helpful in knowing whether that's unnecessary. So...does anyone know if:
...the anti-microbial effects of PG are limited to any particular strains (in an article I found on PG, it listed several types of bacteria that it kills, however, I wasn't knowledgeable enough to match them up with the multiple strains of probiotics that come in my lozenge)?
I also read somewhere that even dead probiotics have some effectiveness. I may be over thinking this, but I'm just curious.
Any helpful or enlightening discussion is welcome!
