I have an authentic Origen MkII by Norbert I bought from vapingcraze and I'm shocked at how well the clone stands up to the original. Using ccwater's video of course but, I held mine in hand and compared every angle of his video and couldn't find the SLIGHTEST difference with the deck or any other part! Tobeco has definitely stepped their game up. Also, with that being said the authentic did not come with an additional glass tank? Something to think about....

The flavor on this however, is better than MOST of my drippers!!! !I'm running mine with 26g, 8-10 wrap standard coil at about 1ohm. No bull...., the reduced chamber really does kick it up a notch. Not to mention I've converted to standard spaced coils which give a much crisper flavor (IMO) than micro/macro coils do without blurring the different flavor notes together. With micro/macro coils... this is due from too much heat and not enough airflow being able to properly hit the center of the coil where it burns at the hottest temperatures. Again.... everything is debatable it's just IMHO!

After using the Tobeco Clone for a few days now I've nothing negative to say about it, pretty much perfect, 510 is flawless on all my various mods, no issues with fluctuating resistance, no leaks, top cap goes on/off nicely with no chewed up o-rings. Performance is the same flavorful dense experience I would expect it to be.

Tobeco has a real winner here, wish I had the spare cash for an authentic, but for now I'm extremely happy with this flawless clone.

I'm not 100% certain, but it looks/feels like the base/510 is stainless, either way it appears to me it is a big improvement over the previous one
I think it's still aluminum. Much too light to be stainless. Threads just fine on everything though.

So, after Eddieadams' post I got to looking closer, disassembled it, and broke out the rare earth magnets.

Results, it is indeed very slightly magnetic, as are many atomizers I have, all claimed to be stainless, since I know for a fact aluminum is non magnetic, my bet is that the Tobeco Mrk II is definitely stainless. Not only is it slightly magnetic, but the brushed appearance is same through-out, top cap right down to the ring below the glass tank.

After following this thread with interest I ordered the Tobecco clone this morning from Yetivapes in New York. It was sold out everywhere else I looked for it. I had to hunt for a YouTube review of it in English, but found one. Seems a very interesting genny, and I can't wait to get it.

I still don't think it's stainless. It's just far too light to be stainless. Can we agree that the entire atomizer is made out of the same material?

So if the base was stainless then the rest would be as well making the weight far more significant. Even if it's just the base that is stainless you would notice that section weighing significantly more than the other parts.

Not saying I know what the metal is exactly but, I think it's far too light to be stainless.

I could be totally wrong though. For me the weight just isn't there for it to be stainless when compared next to other stainless atomizers I have.

Well I really pondered getting the MK II... After fixing the stripping aluminum threads on my other wise perfectly working V2 with a heat sink adapter. I decided to pass on the 6ml MK II and go for the Hotcig version of the 10ml Big German M1.

Here is my fixed Origenny and the wait begins for the Big (German) Tank! :D

I did check Kanvape's page, and they were out of stock, which was not surprising at all. It was not easy to find one of these.

I think you were looking at the older origen II, which IS out of stock, the MRK II was in stock last night (ordered another one just now) and is still in stock today. It is $21.02 with free shipping using the coupon code JULY42015 through 7/12

Origen MRK II 6ml Glass, and 4ml plastic tank version

If you take the lack of a thick deck into account it accounts for some of the weight, also like I said, the metal in the base is magnetic, very slightly, but it is. The chamber reducer is aluminum, but I think that is all, the rest of it appears to be SS. I weighed my Nextgen, which has substantially more material to it, and its only 57 grams. Tobeco weighs in about 45 grams.

Don't really know, not a metallurgist, either way, the material used in the base seems to be a big upgrade to the Origen II.

My Big German should be hitting the US any day now, ordered one as well. If you liked the Origen II, you'll really like the MRK II..

Ha Ha too fine good sir!
It there any atty that you DON'T own? :D

You will need to start a thread for the Big Tank as it will probably have a bit of a learning curve to it with all the options. (I might need some wicking tips as well...) ;)

Are you getting a Taifun GS II as well? It looks like Taifun meets Flashi and could be quite decent.

I have the bookmarks all saved for when the vape budget gets built back up again. I will most likely end up with a MK II as I do like the Origenny quite a bit.

I constantly tell myself, enough gear, unfortunately I've been a collector my entire life, I think I have about 125 atomizers, and about 10 in the mail, including a GSII, my Zephyrus was supposed to be here today so far tracking show 3 days bouncing around Illiois :(

On a more positive note my Hotcig Big German hit Chicago, and should be here this week, if not first part of next week. Everyone seems to be making fun of the size of it, probably not going to be pocket friendly, but it should be nice for around the house. Most everything looks small in my meat hooks anyhow, so it makes no difference to me.

Sign up for Kanvape's mailing list, they regularly run 20% off entire site, and 30% off clearance, bought a couple Rose V2 clones, an Aqua 2, Origen II for for about $12 each shipped.

Nice thing about them is of the 5 orders I've placed with them so far, I got the tracking info within a couple hours, and unlike so many places, they actually ship that day, rather then printing the label, and a few days later it actually ships.

Not all of the prices are great, but some are quite nice deals, the Origen MRK II is priced @ $18.88 from Frog in Fog, and cheapest shipping method I see from them is about $7.00 not confirmed to be Tobeco either.

I used to despise Tobeco, they were pretty much at the bottom of my list for clones, Of my recent clone purchases Tobecos have been better then even the SXK/Infinites.

Excellent.
I see there is not one review on FT for it, it's not a sub tank so they all laugh. If I can get 10ml's of juice in it without it leaking and a great FeV type of vape I'll be very happy.

Did you ever resolve your Nextgen GB issue?
