Just got my 2.1 today. Anyone know what that little metal cylinder is? Came inside the tank with the orings. I've no clue what to do with it

I think he's adding that now to give the user an option for the spring/washer pos. connection.

@ 'chron': Not sure but he's advocated taking it to a jeweler in the past to buff due to the matte finish.

You would take the washers, spring, and nuts off, and put the cylinder in their place. There should be a tiny screw as well to go into the top of it where you will secure the wire. Unless the threaded rod from the switch sticks out, then you would use the nuts.

So I was using my orion this morning (was using last night until I fell asleep too). I took a few vapes when I woke up, set it down, came back to in a few minutes and it was HOT!!!! It's was just sitting there firing by itself. I just installed this switch a month or so ago....this is very disappointing. No, the battery was not in nipple up. Like I said, used it last night and picked it back up this morning....

how are peoples switches breaking? just from normal usage? or from leaking? ive read about the leaking issue in the older versions and that the v2.1 has been fixed??

i can see how it would leak from the inside of the tank area because its metal there and no holes...would it be through the bottom oring, then leaks outside and into the button hole? i would imagine you would know if its leaking because youd be holding it and could feel it...

Well, I haven't even taken it apart yet so I don't even know what's going on. Juice can leak from the top of the atty where condensation and juice can build up and then down the shaft to the switch bay. Or you can have a massive spill and it can go in through the button area on the outside. Now that I'm thinking about it I fell asleep in bed a few nights ago with the Orion in my hand, wok up to a nice puddle on the bed spread....so, we'll see what it is when I take it apart this weekend.

forgive my ignorance but im not seeing how this can possibly leak from the inside of the tank. the center post seems to be part of the bottom part of the atty. i dont see how juice from the top of the atty where the coil is can get way down there....only way i see possible is the bottom oring leaking and it comes out from the outside and in...hmmm

Like 'cracked' said, from the inside you're right, it can't, but from the top it certainly can, past the insulator if warped or down the threaded rod from condensation.

just got mine today and the switch doesn't work called 310 and apparently a lot of them arrived doa so hopefully a new switch will be sent. Also I can totally see how juice can get down to the switch. estrader I would say just tighten the bottom nut down hard or if your using it the spacer tighten that down enough where it wont be tight enough to warp the plastic insulator/gasket tyoe thing. It doesnt seem like there is a whole lot that you can do to avoid it other than just cleaning it often which isn't to hard, I havent even used mine yet and had it apart 3 times trying to get it working.

Any preventative measures from condensation build up? Ive just been inhaling it out without the fire button off to try to get the last bit out

I always wipe the condensation off in between refilling, which seems to work. Beyond that, some people were filling the void space below the insulator w/ silicone.
