Paging tierrataz again...

What size O-rings did you use for the smoktech polypropylene tanks? I hear they don't crack from gnarly juices, should tide me over til the next run of glass tanks from Terry. Dying to take my Orion out with me but I can't be too far away from my DIY menthol... Are they the same rings for the Siam tanks too?

I need to order some 5/8 GITD rings for my AYS (for gits and shiggles) so I figure I'd do the same for my Orion(s) (whatever size they may be).

Really need to open up the airflow hole though, my only gripe... now that my coil is broken in, the flavor is almost too good, and vapor production is up to par.... but I know it could be better. The new button rocks, no chance of firing in my pocket and the enlarged mouthpiece hole is awesome, love the chamfered edge.

I bought two so I could use it as leverage to trade for something interesting, but I don't want to trade it now... back to pinching pennies!

From kit in garage, 10 for colored tubes. Not the best fit but what I had.

If you buy the siam tanks from COV, get the free O rings. The smaller of the set worked.

OK. So last night I was at a vape "get together" and had my V2.1 with me. Things were good. Good beer, good people, good times...
When I left my OrionV2.1 stopped firing, I figured it was a dead batt. Nope. Got home and same prob. it was firing irregular. I tried a few things, and I also PM'd Nosmoker, and on a good note he replied pretty quick. So I followed what he recommended and pulled it apart to take the switch out. I cleaned things up (well because I had to - there was e-liquid in the top of the switch PCB and PV) put it back together and it is firing good now. I added a couple more small o-rings that fit down into the center pole of the tank to help seal it a little better then the single o-ring that was in there. I had noticed several on the V2 when I pulled it apart to cut the switch button down some.

Back in Boba's and Orion heaven now

:thumb: agreed under noticed/respected APV.

I disagree.

The more notice/respect it gets, the quicker Les will burn out and/or the harder they will become to get. I barely managed to get this one but I'd like the chance to get at least one more some day. If they got the notice and respect they deserved, they'd be impossible to get--and Les' list would be in the thousands

I’m having a bit of an issue and could use a little help.
My Orion V2.1 arrived Saturday afternoon and I’ve yet to get it to work properly. The top coil continues to short and either snaps right next to the washer or runs so hot that it’s unvapeable.
The obvious answer is that there is a short….but where? I’m pretty good a oxidizing wicks and am careful when winding a 4 wrap coil.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I popped 2 coils setting mine up, hot spots at the top coil... I fiddled with the positioning of the coil, tilted to 2 o'clock and burned for 2-3 seconds for maybe a 1/3 of the tank and now all coils are glowing evenly.. Dunno what I did but it's hitting great now, definitely wicks much better than my Zen... not sure if it's the thicker wick but with a larger airflow hole, it would be my go to APV... Even with the cap off, the Orion spits way more vapor than the Zen with the same coil setup, and it fires EVERYTIME, no intermittent firing or misfires.

I'm using 32awg Kanthal.
