Does anyone know if you can spin the top plate a bit? My wick holes are in awkward positions to try and keep the wick down when vaping and where the button winds up in my hand ..... if that makes any sense.
I would like my wick holes aligned with, and opposite the button. Right now they are at 4 and 10 .....

Quick answer is no, But I know exactly where you are coming from. I had the same issue. If the holes were placed in-line with the button it would be better.

Some of the 2.1s came with the holes lined up perfectly, some didn't (none of mine did!) The one I use primarily is setup a 3 and 9 which allows me to hold it more like a cigar. One interesting note is that on one of my v1's that came with the whistle tip, the airhole was lined up at 3 (or 9) with the tip itself, so at some point I'm thinking Les thought that was a better setup than lining them up with the button. Who knows...

1 of mine came like yours also its a easy fix just drill another hole in front of the button and plug one of the other holes .

Patch, you can use a rare earth magnet ring. Get a disk or ring magnet from Gaussboys Super Magnets - Neodymium Magnets and Rare Earth Magnets

Search UA72riddle's posts on youtube, he shows adding the magnet to the base so the 16340 make contact at the bottom cap. The V1 and V2 bottom caps are different.

If you have trouble, let me know, I have a few magnets that would work. I could mail you a couple.

Here is UA's video: Orion genisis modified by Pailpoe - YouTube

Look @ 3:45

Jolly, thank you so much for your help on this! Finally got a chance to check the magnet website--simply bought every disc magnet covered in gold (precious, haha) and the one ring magnet that was tiny. Better safe than sorry. Probably got like 10 magnets for under two dollars and paid eight for shipping, haha. Watching the UA video was so helpful to get a sense as to what would work.

I'll report back after getting the magnets.

Been running my v2 and slightly dissapointed considering the fanfare. Flavor is ok, but not too much vapor. Running a 3/4 coil with 18650, using the O-Ring to more closely line up the wick with the airhole. It seems like the airhole may be too small because when I pull off the cap after taking a vape there is some residual vapor.

How do you feel this stacks up to other hybrids in terms of vapor production? So far, I feel that a stock Katana and Zen really outperform this little mod. I really want to love the Orion, it's so tiny, dense, and beautifully machined!

Thanks, Jolly for being so kind!

Ur welcome. I think it stacks up just fine. Mine makes as much vapor as my Zen does. As long as it is setup perfect it will perform as well, or better IMO. My Line does also. It comes down to setup.

Agreed. I was feeling the same way yesterday...great flavor, but not a lot of vapor. Went to bed determined to wrap a better coil today .... and ... GREAT SUCCESS! Today my coil is killing me! Great flaver and HUUUGE vapor!

I have a question for you more veteran kind of folks here. I am almost a chain vaper. That top cap gets HOT! Like "burn your lips" hot. What do you do? Grab another pv until it cools down?

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus

Yeah. Tbh, since I've gone 100% genny, I don't chain vape anymore. Nic delivery is so darned good.
Option1, try dropping a coil to see if that is more satisfying.
Option2, up your nic.
Option3, cut the mouthpiece off and bore for standard tips.

I take a carto condom and cut it to size around the mouthpiece.
