 I hear you Ed. Some peeps need to tinker before coming around. If it helps them with their gennis, so what. Sooner or later the training wheels come off. ;-)

Can't say I've got the perfect set up. For me experimenting is fun. I will say I never thought in a million years I could vape a 1.0 ohm coil. I have some .10 & .15 wire coming. Should produce more fun.

Yes me also :) He told me he would be shipping soon as he pulls the money. Look forward to getting mine, as I am sure a few others are also. Really interested in what he does for his second run also. What are your intentions on initial setup, standard gen, or using Petar's setup?

Should we start a new thread about this one? Or is there one already?

I think we should start a new thread I haven't seen one on here yet .the only person I know of that owns one is lorderos33 . I think I'm gona set it up like I usually do first just because of the excitment to try it out . Later on im gona try his method. How about you ?

Gonna go with Petar's method first, and hopefully run it like that for a while. If I don't like it, I will be able to save the wick/wire setup anyways :) and go with my usual setup. Should be pretty easy to setup, since there is no metal for the wick to pass through. As I understand it, he made the wick hole smaller then the original test kits.

I've been cheating on my Orion's with a new addition to the stable, but I keep finding myself going back to the Orion's as the flavor is unparalleled and the vapor production is good even in stock form. So far, my perfect setup seems to be an Orion (v1.1a or v2.1 doesn't matter) with a simple 5 wrap 30AWG coil. Did a 4 wrap coil of 30AWG that blew some serious clouds, but I'm quite happy vaping with 5 wraps and getting better flavor out of my "fruity" juices.

Jealous of all the iVaper owners, but it's a tall order to beat my Orions!

I do like those wraps 'jslick' and agree the Orion has yet to be beat for me too. I just found the iVaper thread as I don't go in the suppliers forum much anymore. While it looks nice and well made, I'm just not a fan of the bottom button and never will be. The Orion fits my needs w/ a side button and a short mode while going out.

Per the older conversations on isolators, etc. Yeah, I don't plan to use one let alone drill out the hole, but if I were to, 'brian's nylon isolator is the way to go. I'm happy w/ stock all the way around.

As for the other PV, the 'Vaper', I didn't bite the bullet and was late checking my PM for first offer. It's probably good as I'm happy already w/ the Orion, but I do look forward to hearing how it ranks from fellow Orion users. 'tierrataz' has already saved me from trying some others...lol

Well so far the DID with the 3mm wick brings good flavor and juice flow. Most of the time with a hot 2 wrap I get the dry hit of death and tilt so high otherwise that I get juice out of the drip tip in the Orion. I dont really like that. Maybe the Orion is not the high wattage monster I am looking for? This is the only goal for me discussing any of the modding. I want 20 amps knocking my socks off and once I get all that lined up I dont see how the wick that is already having trouble keeping up is going to get any better. Maybe I need to test it as is (and I will) but dry burnt drags really suck. So does drinking juice. Is it a Cadillac, when I want a Corvette?

You're using a 2 wrap coil? Is that a 3/2 or 2/1?! 20 watts, wow! That's asking a lot of any wick I reckon.

Stricker try a twisted coil that will give you the heat you want . My orions out perform my dids all day long with the same set up . I love the dids but the Orion is king or corvette as you say lol

Sure Turbo, blame me!

I have a few peeps myself to thank for their impressions/reviews. Trying every new genni is not one of my options. Wish that were different, but until there is some ground breaking change, it's wick, wire, and airflow. I consider myself lucky I got the Orion when they first came out. I also think of it as a curse trying to chase an equal or better device for my personal criteria.

2/3 and ya it is asking a lot. Have you seen mad vapor being produced by Rwechsler or Cholo?

Cholo With The DiD Genesis part3 - YouTube

The DID Genesis Atomizer Review - YouTube

Thats really what I am after. When you spend a bunch of cash it should be the goal IMO. The Orion is doing well with the 2 wrap. But I have a long way to go. Mad props to Rwechsler for the helping with that. :vapor:

I had a 3/2 on mine at first now that I think of it and liked it but soon went w/ a 4/3. Yeah, twisted coils would be worth trying but be careful how few wraps you use. A twisted .20mm coil about halves your ohm rating in what you get w/ a single wrap. You can try other gauges too like others mentioned here.
