That darn Orion was my first too. That thing sure is getting around....Glad we have this support group for everyone the Orion has takin advantage of :D
 I had to do something after Blondies' thread was closed. It was terribly quiet in here at first. I'm just tiçkled for Les after the rough start.

I am very thankful to have started my genni journey with Les. Trouble has been finding and equal or better Device for delivering Flavor. I think I am spoiled rotten!

Thanks. It appears the tanks I got suck..
3 will just drop on, no chance in ever sealing they're so loose. The forth was so tight it split in half installing.

Thats terrible lexi - perhaps someone should have checked the tanks before shipping. Glad now I missed out on the buy. Hope you let him know right away to stop shipping to others. Hope you can send them back.

So I received my first Orion the other day.

After a full day of dedicated vaping, I can day the following:

PITA to set up. I cut my teeth on a zenesis. That thing is ridiculously easy.

Superb flavor

Less than superb vapor.

I love the secured cap. Genisis pocketability achieved! :D I wish I could adjust the air hole. Any tricks?

A bigger tank would bump it up a notch on my pv scale.

I'm positive I want to drill the air hole. The drag is too tight.

Sorry for being terse. I'm typing this on my phone.

Heya, Trench! There should be three o-rings included. The small one sits on the threads just above the tank, so you get some adjustability with the air hole, and can line it up with the wick.

I'm going to use mine a bit longer, as I've only had it a couple of days. I'm leaning toward loosening the draw as well.

Adjust airhole on top cap w/the smaller supplied O-ring

The Orion has the same setup (pole, mesh, lower nut placement) as the Zenisis and the DID, so I dont understand how it could be more difficult to setup.

It's simply smaller. I do like the spring/washers/nut center post though. That part is easier than the zenesis.

Hey bud!

I did try the o ring but, the hole just went past the wick. :slaphead: lol.

I'll experiment more when I ain't tossed. :D

Dspin is spot on with the arrangement. If the size is giving you fits, you can wrap your coil off the mod. Then all you have is to make the connections.

As Fili said, check to see which wick hole lines up closest to the air inlet. Most of us fit our tanks to eliminate the o ring. This will also lower the inlet & airflow to the coils.

Musings about genesis in general.

Back in the day, genesis were renown for flavor production with vapor being secondary. When did the focus flip to vapor over flavor? Notice all the vids with clouds obscuring the camera? Feels like a contest who can blow the biggest clouds with the most interesting facial expressions. I don't get it. What good are the clouds if the flavor is not clean & crisp?

Just yesterday I put a silo carto on a Greek pv (waiting for the RA that will top it). Loaded up with my 365 DIY, and blew massive plumes I know these cartos can do, but flavor? It was a joke. If the Orion is a 10 on the flavor scale, the silo was a generous 3. Ive been able to drop my % of flavoring using RA by up to half.

The other thing is I don't want to make a spectacle of myself in public. Analogs never produced that much smoke when inhaled. What if one needs to stealth vape?

Just don't get how things got flipped.

The size is fine. It just took me a few runs to get it right.

I used the hole closest to the air hole while screwed on.

My main reason for wanting to line them up is for vapor. As learned with my zenesis, that alignment has a whole lot to do with vapor production. That is really my only real gripe with the Orion at this point. And that's only after my first day. Lol

I'll learn. And hopefully I can make this my all day pv. I sure as shoot can't use my Zen all day, everywhere.

I agree with tierra. The sole reason why i love mesh is due to the flavour that it gives. The vapor is just an add on if you could pull it off. But flavour....i'll let the pv do the talking. Lol

you might try a different o-ring above the tank. I used a thicker one and it worked better.

Or you can sand the tank. Do this is small increments. You get it where you want, and will not need the o-ring.

I tend to get more flavor when my wick is soaked, but less vapor.
If the wick is just wet I loose myself in the vapor and ask myself what flavor is this.
I had to reevaluate my previous top choices in juices when I went to these mods.
Some of them choked me, way to much flavor.
I guess thats why people go DIY.
Just my 2 cents
