With the cap off, blow over the coils to get and idea of how it should be drawn. I have not vaped a v2.1 with the modified openings. The vapor will increase as it seasons too.

Man, I almost posted here looking for help, and now I realized I would made an ... of myself. I have been messing with my new Orion for the last few hours. Every coil I wrapped tasted like I had a short, harsh hits, very little vapor. The coils looked fine too. I must have wrapped 10 coils tonight, messing with them, poking them, prodding them, trying to oxidize my wick more. And on and on and on. Then I remembered the air hole....
Well, it was completely opposite the wick, I added the third o-ring down onto the threads of the Orion, lined up the airhole perfectly with the wick and well, I'll be damned. Now it's working like a champ. I even switched to zero nice juice a few hours ago so I could keep messing with it and stop shaking...
So, lesson here! Remember the air hole position and the extra o-ring!

I just got my Orion in today!!! I had to mod it just a tiny bit. I made the air hole a little bigger. Damn this thing comes with a super tight draw!!! It's much better now.
I just realized that I can have the wick in line with the button. After moving the wick to the other hole and removing the slim o-ring, the air hole was off. I sanded down the tank a bit and now the airhole, wick, and button are lined up nicely. It's nice being about to vape in a dark car without taking my eyes off the road to look for the wick.

Hmmm, I think they are all a little different on wick placement. On mine the wick holes are 90 degrees offset from where the button is so it is impossible for me to get that alignment. I just need to remember which hole I am using so I can put the button don the correct side for the hand I am using and the alignment. Not too bad, but having the holes lined up to the wicks must be great
Ours were from the same shipment, do hopefully I'll get lucky with my wick placement. Either way, I'll figure something out that works for me, always do. Should be good though! Gna have to get some TI bits to bore out the mouthpiece though. If I can get the thread dimensions from les, I'm gna see about having some replacement caps made for mine so I can experiment with dual airholes for the dual wicks and so I can use my own drip tips, like like I did for my hellfire mini
Basically torch the mesh before rolling. Do not quench it with water or gunk it with burning liquid. There is a thread over at UKV regarding it in the Orion DIY thread (I would provide a link, but I think that is against ECF rules?)...
It works, though I prefer to quench it once to stiffen the wick some...
if you do that, please let us know. I would not mind getting another cap for when I screw mine up drilling out the airhole
I have them from the same shipment, but my air holes are the same on all of them, the same as lorderos.

My last one was like yours my wick wasn't in front of the button. my first two the wick hole was in front of the button. I went ahead and drilled a hole right in front of the button and pluged up the extra hole with a oring.
