has anyone here had the orion v1 with pailpoe switch? did it by any chance come with the 18650 extension tube or did that begin with the v2?

All v1s were 16340 only. Only the v2s have both 18359/18650 modes. V1.0 and 1.1a were mechanical, v1.1b was the Pailpoe switch v1.

quik question. when you pop a coil are you guys rolling a new wick or just rolling new coil? my wick is fairly gunked up but i like the flavor.

Just make a new coil. The wicks should last a while. I guess it depends on how long you've been using the same wick. Some people get months out of a single wick.

As long as its performing well, I use the same wick.

+1. The only time I throw out a wick is when it's disintegrating. If anything, I might drip some juice on it and light it up with a lighter a few times to re-oxidize, but other than that, I think I've only ever switched wicks twice.

Thought I'd share a tip for those who have cracked their tanks. I've cracked 2 already and am still waiting for my replacement glass ones from Terry in the UK, so I took an old 6ml bottle, cut it down to size and replaced the o-rings with thicker ones from an iAtty:

It's actually just "tape". I put it on all my PVs to give it added grip and to protect the finish.

Has anyone had any issues with the switch on the v2.1? I am always having to hunt for the sweet spot with the button to get it to fire, so many times I am taking a draw and getting just air.

I have about two threads showing at the top of the positive post that compresses the spring. Is that what your talking about?

Yes the one on top of the washers give it a couple of turns and see if that helps . Some one in this thread suggested to do this and it worked for me. try it and let us know if it worked
