I have contacted poilpoe as my switch still doesnt work after cleaning it(blowing it out and spraying "no flash" into the switch. and reassembling it. I have seen others doing the same. Also I am not going to use just any silicone....I have ordered some FDA food safe silicone. Here is the link, for any one who may be cautious of there health;

Also here is poilpoe's link to disassembly/reassembly;

So I have a Orion v2 newb question. Please take it easy on me.
I have never used a genesis style atty but I love the way this thing looks, and want to try a genesis out.
So as I understand it, the "resistance" is based on how many coils you add, but does it only vape at 3.7 volts? I have became fond of vaping at 4.5-ish volts, and that's something I need to consider.

Yup.....3.7V batt. The Kick will not work with the v2.1 switch.

My Rule of thumb, if you like a hotter vape then wrap fewer coils, if you like it cooler, then wrap more coils. Experiment till you find what you like best, I wrap 5 on the Orion & DID and 4 on the Zenesis. It changes on the different devices because of the air chamber. The Zen has a larger top cap and allows the vapor to cool just enough to make me happy with 4 wraps, the smaller cap on the Orion and DID have me using 5 wraps. There is also the ability to use a different gauge Kanthal for more heat....I haven't given that a try but have heard of many using Kanthal A-1 30awg for a hotter burn.

Vaping what at 4.5 volts? Voltage by itself doesn't mean anything--it's the relationship between the voltage of the PV and the resistance of the coil that determines how "hot" the vape is. Using a 1.6 ohm atomizer is compleatly different than using a 3 ohm atomizer...

And at 4.2 volts (a 3.7 battery fresh off the charger) the standard 3/4 wrap is usually somewhere around 1.2 ohms and will be much hotter than a 2 ohm carto on a vv set at 4.5 volts...

@pwyll and @crptodogg Thanks for the feed back.
To answer your question pwyll, I use a variety of different things, mainly cartos, regualr 510 atty's or carto tanks, even been fooling around with the vivi nova a bit, all of which are 2.5ohm or higher. I usually use a lavatube or an eGo twist, and I do sometimes go upwards of 5v on my LT, depending on the juice I am using at the time. I like a warmer vape.

Everyone is different, so no one can tell you what you will like. But when I go 5 and 6 volts (whether vv or stacking LiFEPO's) I use 2 ohm or lower cartos. Well, I used to. It takes quite a bit of effort for me to use anything but the Orion anymore.

Being used to high-resistance coils at 4.5 to 5 volts means you're probably going to have to put a few extra wraps on at first just to make sure it's not too much more than you're used to.

Vapepastor, I also used a vv tube for about three months with a 2.5 ohm carto in a tank. I vaped it at 4.8 v usually. I have used a rio grand at 7.4v with a hv 901, and also used a gg with a avs 2 on it. I have had my Orion 2.1 for less than 48 hours now. I'm using 325 mesh with a 3/4 wrap coil. Long story short, my other mods are in a box, and I will be on the list waiting for a second Orion by the end of the day. I enjoy it that much. If warm vapor is what you desire, this device will put out more than what you have dreamed!

Les (the maker) gets back from vacation in August sometime. For the now the list moved to another forum since the old UK site went down. It's yet to be seen where he'll end up operating.

In the meantime look at the classifieds here. They've been popping up for sale lately.

Yes, definitely check out the classifieds. That is where I got mine. Yes you will pay more than retail. Some of them have had modifications made. Mine had the wick holes and air hole bored out, which I would have done on my own anyways from what I have read between the three forums I read. Long story short it may cost more, but is worth every penny. Also you will not have to wait on the list. I do not regret my purchase one bit. Worth every penny over retail IMO.

These are 5 wraps of 30awg twisted coil on each side. ill probably be on this set up for a day or 2. just wow.
