FYI- current series will include a total of 3 glass tanks. No other options such as separate purchase of just tanks.

I'm going to order one of the lanyards but would love to have one of his glass tanks. I'd love to get one off someone who could let one go ;)

BTW, my original coil is still going strong. Turns out the burnt taste was from a short that cropped up, one which I didn't have initially, but common w/ Gennies sometimes. They can creep up. Easy fix though.

Hi Turbo. What glass tanks are you referring to, if you don't mind me asking? I'm so far behind in the cool stuff. LOL I'm still using the plain old tanks on the PV's that I take out of the house (I don't take my ZAU out).

Just curious....plus I wanted to say "howdy" and ask how you've been?

I'm referring to the ones Les will include w/ the newest batch of Orion's, due out toward the end of the month. I have no problem w/ my poly type tank on mine now, I just want some back ups. Terry in the UK forums also makes them but they're a little larger and require a thicker o-ring.

Vaping wise doing well, loving my Orion ;) Life is so/so but it'll pick up I reckon.

Does any know if Mad Murdocks Ruml Radiator Pluid juice is safe to use on the Orion V.2.1? Will the Pluid juice crack the tank?

The tanks on the v2.1 are a plastic, but they are polypropylene and should be more resistant to juices than the Polycarbonate and Acrylic tanks that we are all most familiar with. It should hold up well to the Pluid, but glass of course will be a sure fire bet for resistance to all harsh juices.

Hi lorderos33! The polypropylene didn't hold well to the Pluid juice. :( My tank ended up cracking. But lucky another member, emonty, was willing to send me one of his spare tanks. So now i'm just waiting for that to come in and my Orion will be back in business and running soon! :D

The Orion is still my favorite geni .I tried a couple different geni atties this past week and even gave a certain one a second chance . They just don't compare . The one I gave a second chance to was like sucking air through a straw no flav or throat hit . I had the same 3 Wrap twisted coil set up on both same size air hole on both it was like night and day . I think the Orion has spoiled me its gona be hard to beat I can't wait to see what les comes up with next . I'll be waiting with money in hand lol

I'm in the same camp so far. Chasing gennis that pale by comparison. I'm just an addict. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Just experimented as I'm not getting great flavor from my G Bell. The bell cap fit my orion, so I tried it. For my preferences it's a fail. I thought with the tiny chamber it would be better. Les has the magic formula is all I can say. :)

Hey guys. I am back in an Orion. This time the 2.1. I traded my Zen Mini for it and will never look back. Mine was drilled out some how. Not really sure how though. It had a pilot hole in it but the outer area was scratched up and still had some folds of metal in it. DRY HOT mess to say the least. Now the hole is 1/16th and here is what it looks like. Hi Ash!!!

Things I notice.
1-wick is pinched closed at top.
2-bottom coil is loose & not making good contact to mesh.
3-in the cold picture, looks like the wire is digging into the middle of mesh.

It does take time for the set up to break in or season. Are you getting hot spots? Looks like you should.

As far as I can tell its making good vapor. If it is then is like night and day when you put the cap on look at the air intake hole. I have had to drill out 2 out of the 4 that I had. Put something in the hole and see if it catches on anything. If it does then get a drill and clean it out. Dont go over 1/16th" though.

Oh I see now. Can click on the pictures and they get bigger. LOL much more detail that way.
Ash take a look at my tutorial on how to make a Genesis wick and coil on my youtube channel. I only have 1-6 made since I am saving part 7 for the update on how the set up works over time. So far its been a week and only a bump once a day or so is needed. So I stand behind my method. Its a collection of things I have seen put together so its easy for us to make. I am sure it will help.

Thanks for saving me some money, I had the same thought w/ the G-bell and the tiny chamber. Yeah, nothing I've tried has beat the Orion either.

I know, I know. Waiting for Les to satisfy all those wanting a V2 is torturous! I can't wait for his next creation.

Based on others comments about the bell vs HF, I think I can save a bundle there as well.

Prefacing by saying that I'm a big fan of your reviews rwechsler and that you're an all around cool dude, personally, I'm glad I didn't see your review of the orion 2.1 before I bought it. It might have discouraged me and then I'd be missing out on a great vaping experience! If I would've bought it anyway, I would've found most of your detracting points to be non-issues at least for myself. I love the stock airhole. Love the solidity of the built in drip tip. My cap screws on completely with an 18350. Yeah the button might eventually fail but so will I! The upside of an electronic switch is that it fires 100% or not at all. I prefer this to a mechanical switch on another genesis apv that I'm always jiggling the button on trying to get it to fire 100%. Then taking it apart looking for burs to sand down.

The center post with springs I would agree is a bit unintuitive, but after realizing that screwing down the nut several threads tightens the connection, it really becomes a non-issue unless you're someone who likes to build a ton of coils. In that case, a more elegant solution might be desirable for convenience.

I can see how the wick not lining up with the button can be a pain. Luckily, the two 2.1's I have are both aligned. I wonder why this has seemingly been left to chance.

Thanks for taking the time to do the review. It got me thinking more critically about the various features of various devices and what I prefer.
