Blue I am wondering if your referring to the + post. Its the Neg screw. Just take it out. Get a longer one and put a spacer to make the ground connection higher up. In this case the modder used nuts for a spacer. Hope this helps. I would really hate to hear that you mucked up your + post with some pliers or something.

Hi blue,

He only raised the negative post I think. He started of saying the positive but then corrected himself. At least that is how I understood it. Looks really easy, just have to find the correct SS screw and nuts...

Nice, it'd be worth trying. It's good to have the coil closer to the air hole most def. If someone finds the correct screws/washers let us know, especially if you find them stateside.

Might be worth to ask the video guy himself.

Finding out where your air hole lines up on your wick should be one of the first things you do when you get a new Genisis . On my orions I wrap the coil high and on the dids I wrap them low

I get that now  Thats the reason I drilled my hole out so big to begin with. I could see massive vapor with the cap off. But with it on it was crap. So I thought the bigger hole would help. It didn't. Really wish I would have kept it 1/16 but its a done deal till I get that screw. Do you use one? Maybe you can give us the specs on it? Watch everyone. My man Brian knows :D

I don't use a screw sorry lol. I start my first turn(wrap) around the wick about 1/4 way up the wick maybe a little higher. On my orion my air hole lines up a little under where the washers are .
That's why I wrap it so high

I would but I will have to wait till I get the nuts I ordered. Looks like someone put diff washers on mine. Causing all kinds of issues. The spring is not held by the washers, cause the center hole in them is to big. So even with no hot spots, an even 2/3 awg30 coil and 20 watts its very bulimic. Feel like I am beating a dead horse over here. I did get it working good once but that was the first day and the hole in the cap was clogged. Orion stuff has it in for me. So now I wait.

This looks like an interesting tweak

I happened to have some M2x6mm hex screws I bought along with some M2 nuts awhile back and tried out the "solid" post method and holy crap! This setup is dope with 12MG 50/50, 5 wraps of 30AWG, AW 16340 Protected ICR, stock cap. Definitely worth trying out!

P.S. Brian, you got to check this out with that stuff I sent over!

M2 SS washers should do the trick. I lost one of mine and replaced 'em both with these.

I had a feeling the size of the screw was the same as the post,But I never looked. My Orion is in time out. If I could find any hardware locally I would have the works. Just bought nuts on ebay and waiting for the new caps with lower holes to get fabed up.

A clearer pic of the elevated nuts and screws I made a few weeks back.

This is my older tune. springs are much easier to find.
