I have read a lot of the threads. Do you guys really think the Orion has the potential to put out the best flavor of any of the hybrids?
Absolutely! My first Orion arrived Nov. of last year. I am still chasing other devices to find an equal or better vape. Haven't found it yet.

Like igetcha69, I vape the same tobacco every day. It makes it real easy to compare devices. Orion is in a class by itself.

In a few days, I'm sending my Orion 2.1 to Kir Fanis and he will be making SS and other material tanks for the Orion. After he gets the Orion, he said it shouldnt take longer than ten days because they don't need threads. Sound good?

Oh h3ll yeah.....sign me up scotty. :banana::w00t::banana:

Appreciate the offer bud, let me see if I can get something that will work before I put you out any..

I have found one post saying the following re: that tank..: ".617 measured with cheap calipers" which I have to assume is inches which would convert to just under 15.7mm, seems awfully close...

Close, but not nearly close enough. I am nearly 100% certain that it will not fit without stretching the tank or modifying the orion.

That's where I landed too..
I measured this morning and it wasn't gonna happen.. Tolerance is tight and the o-rings are already pretty small.

And modifying the Orion? Blasphemy! :?:

Options I see to save anyone the research:

1 - Smok 6ml DCT Polypropylene tanks - ID is a match, easy to cut down, very good material against juice cracking

2 - Siam Mod Tanks - ID is a match, available in stainless or pyrex. You better be pretty crafty / have the right tools to cut down to size

3 - Kir Fans - Coming soon and sure to be a perfect fit

4 - Track down one of Terry's glass tanks

5 - Get on a list for a new Orion which will come with glass, lol

I got all but number one covered but haven't wanted to grind down the Siam tanks I got sitting in a drawer, still waiting on tanks from Terry to ship and even longer to arrive I imagine, on the list for another but as a reserve......really excited about what Kir will have available.

Indeed, a SS tank that's actually made for it will be outstanding... Hope he's planning a decent size run of them..

I have no idea as to how many or how he is going to sell them, but I will find out for you guys. He said fused quartz is hard to get but SS will be easy and some other material that I can't name off-hand.

He uses PMMA for his other clear tanks but they crack with some juices just as polycarbonate. We would also have to sand down any he comes out with (plastic or SS), just so we could all get our wicks to line up, as not all wick holes were drilled in the same location in the atty.

Well, I'm at the my maximum frustration threshold with my Orion. I CANNOT get it to perform the way it did when I first got it. I have watched oodles of videos, read threads, read electrical info, etc. I continue to get that scathing burn in my throat, meaning there is a short in it, and ZERO flavor on honeysuckle, which tasted great the first day i used it with the Orion.

relax....

make a 3 coil wrap with 32 AWG, not tight around that wick, just touching.....counter clockwise around the center post, I put it between the top nut and top washer, one and half around it, tighten that nut a little so you see two threads. Hit the button slightly for less then a second....release, if the top coil is glowing, make sure the wick is not too close to the washers, not touching and...nudge, make sure the coils are not biting into the wick....slowly pulse until all are glowing evenly...add liquid...fire short pulses...nudge the coils slightly if needed...
