I have finally found another device that can compare in flavor production. I'm over the moon happy as my quest has been a long one. It's the Bliss.
No I told you so's JR.
I just wished my Chamelon had arrived when expected. My only 510 is a paps and I really don't like having to lock every time I set it down. What a PITA.
Hey Tierra, I got my Cham last week from Dancer, so yours should be here shortly. If you have problems getting it to fire, I have some tips, just PM me. And it's actually a pretty decent combo with the Bliss, but a little tall for my preferences and some minor annoyances with the ring switch, but I'll let you try it out for yourself before I taint your opinion. Does work like a champ with the P+ though once you set the center post right.
@Ed, you know how long I've been searching. IMO, the flavor is on par, TH is stronger, vapor is almost on par but I have not set up with duals or u'ey yet. Just a head to head single coil comparison. My orion is single coil.
@ Turbo, Jason @elitevaporworks is going to be checking all the attys from now on. I guess a lot of reports of machine oil and they were supposed to be professionally cleaned. Stuff happens.
I got mine from Jayson and it was cleaned, still wet actually... Set it up with duals, 6 wrap of 32AWG. Better (and easier) than a U'ey IMHO. Sucks down juice and battery though in comparison to the U'ey.
I need to set them all up the same way & with the same liquid. I have El Toro Guavera & Virginia Prime in the Cobra & bliSS respectively, & they are wonderful. My Orion has had Halo Belgian Cocoa living in it for quite some time, & I love it. I feel like I'm picking my favorite kid...
DID is good, but not as good IMHO as BliSS. BliSS has more configuration options (single, dual, u'ey, dual u'ey, triple), but... The DID NEVER leaks, upside down, laid down on it's side, nothing... Flavor is similar on both, slightly better on BliSS, but the TH on BliSS is amazing! Draw on the BliSS is tighter too with the two air holes, closer to (if not the same as) the stock Orion.
Finally got some good performance out of my Cobra!!!

Didn't know you were having probs with your Cobra. Mine has been a vapor producing .... from day one. I'm at 1.0ohm as well but with 32awg A-1, but with a thin walled wick.....definite straw action going on with mine.
Not vapor but flavor issues. Only one which really delivers that until now is the Orion, but getting good results with the cobra now.
Btw, you should read the thread on 500 mesh, quite interesting especially on wick thickness and how capillary action works as gravity and straw action is something different.

Thanks, all good to know. Yeah, I hear the draw on the DID is airier. I may try it but again, the function and look of the Orion is so good I don't know why I'm even fooling w/ the others. The Bliss and Cobra look huge on the Provari and that's what I'd be using them on.
I still think the Orion is the winner (in my book) for function and form.
@jslick. Rat bastage! Paid on the 16th, still don't have it. Fell through the cracks I guess. Been following on VP about the switch issues. A bit bummed before it arrives. Looks sweet sporting a bliss though.
Hey guys, internet was out for a day. I am using the wire they sell at HofH with some 325 mesh. I have run about two full tanks through this current setup. Flavor is a "little" better tonight, but not what I believe is the potential. I have never measured the piece of SS before cutting and rolling the wick, I just eyeball it, but you can see through it like a straw. Turbo, I have to concur that the Orion is about as sleek and well-finished device that I have seen or used, and reading this ENTIRE thread has convinced me to stay with it until the magic happens (flavor speaking!) I have a "The Vaper" by Petar K on the way, so I will need to learn how to do Genesis well if I'm going to use these very special devices. I have some nerve damage in my right arm that makes bottom activated devices difficult to use. That is why I went with the Orion and The Vaper. I have a GLV super mini but using that for for than a few minutes causes a lot of pain in my right arm.
tierrataz, I wonder if you might be willing to sell me a pre-rolled and vaped wick that you have so that I may try it? Can you guys give me the measurements for the best size of SS mesh to cut for a wick?
