I changed my order from a p18 to a p16 Steel, (4) W ICR 123 / 16340 750mAH Protected 3.7 volt batteries, and the battery charger. What do ya think? good set up?

yeah pretty good...I'd grab an IMR 16340 to try... I think with the LR atties (or even a regular joye 510 atty) you will see a performance boost...

Looks like I'm a bit late here but I just got my ProVari tonight after a month-long pre-order. Worth the damn wait to say the least.
MY OPINION; this thing is god mode! LOL
Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A Start (let's see how many get that)
The ProVari does not photograph well. Of all the pics I've seen so far (many....just look at the ProVape area) none truely represent this beast.
No, it's not light.
No, it's not tiny.
Awesome? ... A
Battery voltage readout; perfect
Atomizer/cartomizer resistance readout; perfect
Running through the functions; simple

Hey Turbo, I just order the P16 tonight and got the AW IMR 16340 batteries because I heard they were really good and I use the 306 LR attys with my eGo/Rivas and have been told these batteries are great with LR attys. I cannot wait to get this piece of art and start using it. I know I have to wait but I am so excited! I'm order # 4292 :)

I'm actually laughing at all the great advice that was ignored in this thread, only to see the OP order a well built device that performs about as well as a mini vape stack!

Comparing 18650 batteries to 16340 is like comparing a 4 cylinder civic to a hemi...

The ProVape was completely dismissed for whatever reason and it's an exceptional device with a lifetime warranty.

The Buzz is amazing, and a really versatile PV, the looks are kinda steam punk, but it is exceptionally well made...

Now, to the pro Vari... What an AMAZING PV! Truly in a class by itself.

Sarcastic comments about vaping in the dark aside... I hope you enjoy your new PV... You ignored a lot of great advice to end up with a pretty, nicely constructed piece with lackluster performance... I've owned several 16340 powered mods, and the battery life is so so, and the vape is weak by comparison.

As a web designer you should know form follows function. The same is true for PVs.

I received my P18 today! Yippie! Took a few hours to read the literature while my batteries charged. Took a little more time to figure out I needed to add a couple washers. All's good now, vaping like a charm and looking GOOD too!

I get what you're saying about the two batteries. Bad analogy though, LOL.
My car has a 999cc, 3 cylinder, 71HP hemi.
Seriously, hemi means, "A Hemi engine (from hemisphere) is an internal combustion engine in which the roof of each cylinder's combustion chambers is of hemispherical form." - wikipedia, and the lowly smart, in fact, has a hemi.

I'm pretty sure Turbo will enjoy his P16. Same meticulous detail as the P18 I'm marveling at tonight. I reckon he just wanted a smaller unit, different strokes, ya know? It's a step up from his eGo, no doubt! Just might have to carry an extra battery ... that's all.

Oh for chrissakes... You knew what I meant... When MOST people think hemi, they think muscle car HEMI

Here's a better analogy... Comparing a 16340 to an 18650 is like comparing a radio flyer wagon to a freight train

hrmmm...
a 2900mAh ICR 18650 is capable of delivering 5.8A
a 550mAh IMR 16340 is capable of delivering 4.4A

either way both are more than capable of delivering the 2.47A of the lowest resistance atties...

so I don't see this huge huge difference that you're slamming..
just the 16340 will last significantly less time...but it's a sacrifice for a smaller PV..

as for the provame, provari, buzz etc.... the OP said he doesn't like the way they look...that should be sufficient...

are you going to use something you think looks like a dog turd all day every day or something you like the look of and functions well...

I'm the same way I don't like the look of those others, I want all mechanical too...dislike the PS likne and downright loath the GG...that leaves very little

I know looks and size had a lot to do with my purchase. I like, simple, sleek and sexy and for me that was the P16. Took me a very long time to get to the purchasing part too. I've been wanting a mod for some time now, just didn't know what to do cause nothing was "me" and the P16 is totally me, all the way. I still don't know if I should do the vent holes or not though. I saw pics of the P18 with vent holes but not the P16. If anyone has the P16 with vent holes I would love to see it :) I am really excited and happy to be able to get the Precise 16340, it's been a long time coming and lots of back and forth thinking and I couldn't be happier with my choice. I will be happiest when it arrives at my house :)

Never mind...I have seen the vent holes on the P16, DUH. I don't think I'm going to do the vent holes...not because I don't like how it looks, because I think it looks awesome with the vent holes or without them but because I'm always putting my PV in my pocket, I live on a dirt road out in the country and don't want any dust or pocket lint (not that I have pocket lint mind you) to get in those holes. I would always be getting a Q-tip and cleaning the vent holes, lol. That's my decision and I'm stickin to it :)

Bella, I'm sure you and Turbo (the OP) will love your P16s! I understand that some people are put off by the P18's size. Doesn't bother me a bit, I like the way it feels in my hand. Considering the size of the 18650, it's surprisingly small. The P16 will have the same build quality, and work just as well as the P18. It's just smaller and the smaller battery's charge time is less. So, you might need to carry a spare battery. I wouldn't mind having a P16 to compliment my P18, for those occasions when I might want a less conspicuous PV. But I've got a New Year's resolution to stop spending my food budget on vaping, LOL.
