I know that I got some Strawberry Champagne as a tester/freebie for buying some unflavored Nic juice and it upset my stomach with it's fizziness, but a week later it tasted great, so I concur with the post about some being too fresh...
Thanks, CaptJay - I was prepared for it to happen someday, just not so quickly and I had purposely mixed in two other flavors (even thought I didn't like them all that much) to try and avoid "OD'ing" on the COLAImo you can get burned out on ANY flavor (I call it tastebud exhaustion and I truely believe thats what happens) - and just today I got it again lol.
Well, I don't think I can blame my tastebuds as my Camel Turkish Gold tasted oh so good today.Damned if I'm gonna smoke a cig jsut cos I cant taste right now, anyways - likely I wouldnt be able to taste that either so what would the point be? lol
Hmmmm . . . Butter Rum - I don't know where you got yours but I just placed my first order with Ms. T my hope is her flavors are so Yummy that I will be able to add a few to my rotation to overcome such times because as of now there are so few flavors I really likeI can taste the TH, and some flavors (I try to get as far away in the taste spectrum from the one I was vaping hte day before it happens, like if Im vaping on Butter rum I go to a fruity flavor instead) do push thru a little. I also keep a very harsh coffee and tobacco for days like this.
You should be fine in day or so yanks21, just try and accept that your tastebuds, like mine, go into shock from constantly tasting stuff all the time and need a rest.
I ofund this part of an articel from an ENT specialist note - it relates to smell but is linked to taste also.
".. If you smell an odour for long enough, you eventually stop noticing it. This is because prolonged exposure to a strong smell is believed to saturate the olfactory epithelium with odour molecules to the point where information is no longer delivered to the brain. This is called 'adaptation'. Loss in smell sensitivity is only temporary and is particular to that 'over-smelled' odour. Recovering from adaptation depends on the individual but can range from a few seconds to a couple of minutes."
(we 'oversmell' for HOURS so Im thinking recuperation can take that long also)
