And here is a sample of the stabilized wood housings from the dna 200 mods which i will be purchasing one of when they are finished. China has nothing on this.

You are making my point for me.

the price nothing to do with the quality of the electronics.

My initial comment was about price vs. electronic chip quality, not woodworking.

But if you look at the results of the DNA 40, DNA 200 and SX350, they are much better than your lower priced mods. And they are backed up with much better warrantys.

You can buy an authentic Evolv DNA 40 chip for about $60 without a tax ID number.
If you are a Modder, buying wholesale, they cost much less.
The extra money is for the box.

Paying more for a mod with the same chip doesn't equal better quality electronics.

Take Provari for example.
They aren't the most expensive devices but are very well built.
You Don't need to spend $500 for a quality device .
Again, when looking at quality of electronics, you dont always get what you pay for, and doing research will pay off more than throwing down a hunk of dough, on the flavor of the month.

I'm not advising the cheapest of gear, but there are alternatives to paying upper tier prices, if it's quality you are after.

It really all depends on what you buy. But none of the cheap mods can touch the "Good" expensive mods.

I don't find this to be even remotely close to being true . I own mods in the $50.00- $70.00 range that are still working fantastic over two years later of daily use and abuse.

Solid all aluminum construction , YiHi or Evolv chipsets etc....

I have also had a chance to vape much more expensive mods and to me , they DO NOT provide any better of a vape than many mods that are considerably cheaper.

They may have a fancier design , an overall more soid feel but as far as vape quality it's been a wash for me. As a matter of fact some of the most expensive mods , (VaporShark) included utilize quite a bit of "zinc alloy" construction in their basic enclosure , this is as cheap as it gets .

Your paying more for name recognition and the latest designs than a superior vaping device.

This is honestly as productive as arguing about a $80 turntable vs. a $1400 turntable.

Not only is beauty in the eye of the beholder, value is as well. Not to put too fine a point on it, but it doesn't matter if you're happy about my purchasing decisions, I'm the one holding the credit card.

Sure, there are some mods I wouldn't consider buying, but that's because they simply don't appeal to me. The reasons are irrelevant. I have my tastes, needs, and preferences, and they will most likely be different than yours.

I sit here typing this with two setups in front of my keyboard. One cost about $100 total, the other just north of $400. They both make me happy, and they both keep me off cigarettes. Why should that matter to anyone but me? As long as I can still pay my bills, keep gas in the car, a roof over my head, and food in the pet bowls, why should my neighbor care?

Zinc Alloy is actually a more solid material. And your $50 to $70 mods do not have an Evolv board unless its an old one. As for YiHi? Its definitely not the SX350 and you certainly arent getting a warranty better than either 30 or 90 days.

If you don't think those test results are real, watch some reviews. The Sigelei 150 has always been a highly regarded mod and uses the YiHi SX330 chipset. When Matt from Suck My Mod tested it with an oscillator, a 100w vape was actually only hitting at 86.5w.

Does somebody care ? I certainly don't care what other people do or decide to vape , your probably assuming people care and some actually might so who knows.

I only wanted to dispel the myth that much more expensive mods are always vastly superior to much less expensive mods thats all , i know you weren't replying to me but the comment that " people care about what other people vape on and do was interesting to me as i don't find that to be the case ".

Zinc Alloy is a heavy and a very cheap metal , very easy to cast which is why it's so popular , i will take an all aluminum enclosure every day and all day . If you have familiarity with the Cloupor DNA box mods those things are tough as nails , impossible to break those things and apparently very cheap enclosures .

I have a few Innokin SVD 2,0's that i got for around $30.00 each , authentic DNA 20 chips with step down tech and they are outstanding .

I do not vape anywhere close to 20 watts and those things provide a vape as good as anything out there.

Why would i want a SX 350 chipset or a DNA 200 chipset ? The SX 350 was available long before the SX mini came out , it does not provide a better vape than what i have now, just a different more powerful chipset .

Vaping devices are just getting more complicated than they need to be imo , computer software is now available , no thanks .

Other then the 200 its easy to get DNA chips under 50 bucks.

I have a couple DNA40 (v5) mods I got for 49 bucks no tax and free shipping. I've grown quite fond of the chip.

Im sure your Cloupor box isnt the same quality aluminum as my anodized Hex Ohm v2.1.

And lets look at Cloupor for a second.

All i am saying is that cheap mods are cheap for a reason. I'm not trying to trash anybody for what they vape. Only saying they shouldnt try and compare them to the more expensive gear which is what this entire thread is about. No reason to get mad. You dont make the product.
