Their are no mods over priced. If they are over priced and no one buys them and they drastically reduce the prices to sell them then you know they were over priced in the beginning. To expensive don't buy them, enough people don't buy them, then what choice does the company do but lower the price. Look at tanks, after they are out a couple months the prices drop. You want the latest and greatest you can expect to pay top dollar. That's the way the world works. CHEERS!

For the most part high-end gear is made with better materials and has better quality control (with the exception of the Vapor Flask). I support QUALITY over quantity.

This isn't true across the board.
First off, all the materials made to make all mods are commonplace and very cheap. Aluminum, brass, copper and stainless steel aren't cost prohibitive materials in any industry.

Many high end mods cost more because they are made in small artesian type shops, not mega factories with huge wholesale buying power.
Chinese factories are subsidized by their government, and can access raw materials for a fraction of the price a small US or European shop can buy them for.
As far as quality, my iPhone was made in China.

The old "you get what you pay for" sounds good, but isn't accurate or logical today.

But if you look at the results of the DNA 40, DNA 200 and SX350, they are much better than your lower priced mods. And they are backed up with much better warrantys.

Actually the warranties on most high end mods is abysmal , before Asmodus took over support for some of the most popular mods on the market (P4U and Sig in particular) all came with a "one year warranty" .

Thats the warranty the P4U iPV series came standard with (granted not considered a high end mod but they came standard with YiHi chipset's and all aluminum construction .

Asmodus changed everything and decided to forget the one year warranty so they decided a 6 month warranty , unfortunately they thought that was too long so they went to a 3 month warranty , P4U never made a peep about it .

These expensive mods , even VaporShark coming with a three month warranty is laughable to me .

Here's the bottom line :

If you were to put a DNA 40 or DNA 200 equipped mod and put a few cheaper mods , (say an iPV2S 60 watt or iPV2X 60 watt or even a Sig 75 watt for example and used an identical topper and juice running the same settings i would bet the house a blindfolded person would not be able to tell a difference by the vape.

There alot of Companies out there that make solid devices for good prices and there's some Companies that make so so devices for extreme over price..especially for the quality of the device.. Have you ever run across this..

I have thrown away so many cheap devices it would have been cheaper for me to pay for something overpriced.

Then why after Asmodus left P4Y did they lower it to 30 days?

I said for the most part. My SX Mini ML-Class is made in China, but it's better than anything Kanger has ever produced. A brass mod produced by Caravela is totally different than a "cloned" brass mod from china. There's T-shirt people and there's people that like a little bit of class/style.

I don't follow Asmodus anymore , there are great discussions about them somewhere on ECF . Wow , didn't know they went to 30 days , i guess it can get worse , most thought it couldn't get any worse, what a disgrace.

Thanks for the update , just mind boggling that company .

that VF squonk does look like poop
I liked the looks....and in theory, it was a great idea. Pisspoor execution , though. Bottle filling was a complete pain and the 510 had a tendency to leak. When it leaked, juice poured out of the USB port. Not to mention, the dna40 that we all loved so much. Evolv and VF were pretty good about handling the many board glitches but $300+ for a mod that spent 90% of its life in a flat rate box going back and forth? No, high end doesn't always mean better.

Yep! I wanted it to be awesome. Glad I didn't jump on it and waited for the verdict.

The worst mod I ever bought is an istick 20W. I bought it direct from Eleaf, before any vendors had it. That damn thing still works. Its inaccurate as all get out. Has chrome plated brass 510 threads. I've abused it. But, yet it goes on.

BTW, this is an example of "cheap crap" that keeps on trucking...

...even if you wouldn't mind if it stopped :D

The VS rDNA 40 was supposed to be the bees knees & mine glitched to hell IMMEDIATELY after the warranty ran out. VS being such an **cough** outstanding **cough** company told me I had to spend $25 on the maintenance kit in order to get it fixed.

My flawed device supposedly came from new stock with all board issues having been corrected. So NO!! Paying more definitely doesn't mean better....just means I spent more for better JUNK!!!

Note 5!!!
