Hi,

I know this actually belongs to the DIY Liquids-Section, but somehow I do not have the rights to create a thread there .

I want to smoke no-nic Liquids only, but most of them are very expencive and consist chemicals that might be toxic - so why not making my own Liquid? As I do not want to add nictoine, there shouldn't be much of a risk. I would simply use Glycerine (as it is less hazardous than what most of the company use as a basis) and add some aroma.

This would actually save me a lot of money as I can get Glycerine very cheap at nearly any Pharmacy in my city. The question just is: will it work? Is Glycerine really everything I need for a dense vapour? And which aroma would you recommend - natural (for example fruit juice or spices) oder chemical (like vanilla or lime for baking)?

Greetz, Pheenyx

PS: Maybe someone could move this to the correct section?...

Yes it will work.
However, if you want a more dense vapor use Vegetable Glycerin or a mix of Propylene Glycol and Vegetable Glycerin (50/50), then mix 75%-80% of that to 10% Pure Grain Alcohol (Vodka or Everclear) and 10% Flavoring.

DO NOT use Fruit Juice, Spices, Vanilla Extract or anything like that for flavoring. It will just destroy your atomizer.
Get some Loranns Flavorings (water soluble ONLY) https://www.lorannoils.com/c-6-super-strength-flavors-candy-oils.aspx
or Cappellas Flavorings
flavored coffee tea water flavor drops vanilla flavors gourmet whole bean flavoring hazelnut flavored coffee Flavored water, flavor water, water flavor drops,Capella Flavor Drops, vanilla flavoring, bottled drinking water, flavor syrup, coffee flavors

Oh and BTW the 0 Nic liquid you can buy does not contain any chemicals that are toxic.
Dont believe what you read from the FDA, they have an agenda (to cow tow to Big Tobacco/Big Pharm). They will lie all day long to get you to believe that E-cigs and E-juice is dangerous.
The main ingredient in E-juice is Propylene Glycol.
Yet the FDA themselves has classified propylene glycol as an additive that is “generally recognized as safe” for use in food. It is used to absorb extra water and maintain moisture in certain medicines, cosmetics, or food products. It is a solvent for food colors and flavors.
Propylene glycol is also used to create artificial smoke or fog used in fire-fighting training and in theatrical productions.

I agree that the vast majority of e-liquid sellers price their zero-nic liquids at a ridiculous price.

However, if you want to buy some at a more reasonable price, check out the Doublers at Tasty Vapor. (Link is in my sig). They're basically a 4oz (120ml) bottle of flavored PG/VG for $12. A good price, I think.

His prices are so reasonable that I gave up on trying to make my own e-juice. (Plus, I suck at mixing anyway.)

If you're going with straight VG you'll want to thin out the VG you use. The stuff is thick and annoying when it isn't thinned out. How annoying is it? Well, it takes hand-hurting amounts of pressure applied to my bottle of VG to get a few drops out of it. Some people have suggested thinning it with distilled water, which would present no problems for your attys, or a good grain alcohol like Everclear or higher proof vodkas. I just mix mine with PG to thin it out and call it a day, but it sounds like you don't want to mess with PG at all. Go with distilled water or grain alcohol.

Important note: Don't sub any other kind of water for distilled. Even filtered waters still have minerals and other stuff that could quickly deposit in your atty making it less effective and potentially shortening its lifespan.

Make sure the VG you're planning on using is USP grade. Non-USP grade could have unwanted crud in it.

Also, in the DIY section there are numerous threads about no nic vaping. There's even a great no nic recipe thread with some tasty sounding vapes in it. Any recipe can be made non-nic. If a recipe calls for 1ml of flavor, 2ml of 36mg nic and 2ml VG, just sub VG or PG for the 2ml of nic.

Good luck! I love mixing my own juice. Just make sure you have enough dropper bottles on hand so you can always mix up a batch when the mood strikes. Right now, I want to mix a new flavor but I have no available bottles to put it in.

Thanks a lot for your fast replies!

I think I'll grab some VG and mix it with PG - alcohol contains harmful stuff, too (exept maybe ethanol for medical purposes but thats hard to get and very expensive :p), so there's n real difference. I know a little about the topic as I'm very interested in Chemistry, so I guess I'll manage to smoke with as little risk as possible.

Talking about "Tasty Vapors", that page has actually been recommended to me before, but I can't find an option to buy no-nic liquids  The order form only comes up with options between something like 12mg Nic to "Special"...

once I'm done mixing (have to get the stuff first so it might take a while) I'll let you guys know.

Happy vaping, Pheenyx

On the order page keep scrolling down and below the Eliquid order form you'll see "Doubler Ordering" with drop down menus for; mixture, 1st flavor, 2nd flavor, 3rd flavor and quantity. The Doubler liquid is the 0 nic stuff.

I have seen numerous suppliers the no nic and nic are the same price. I think this is ridiculous. I would certainly not pay for no nic liquid. I mean after all the only thing you are getting is PG or VG and distilled water.

I would make my own using some Enclear l90 proof. Sometimes I even add a little Enclear to give it an extra something. I have just put a drop of Enclear directly on my atomizer. I got a buzz doing this.
