I bought 5 km of wick. I hope its enough master
wires are everywhere but I think my sellers will have enough of them too as they have all the other stuff like batteries etc.:)
Thanks Imeo so I buy the 1.5mm and just take it twice? Will the shops be staffed out with enough wire etc. when the sale of P&P starts? I think lots of new GG useres like me will like to buy wire, wick an batteries etc. all together with PP.

How about the battery....AW IMR 14500 VS AW IC 14500.............. which is recommended?

Definitely the IMR mate! Don't even think about using ICR types for vaping at all and not for VV devices in special!
ICR types don't use safe(er) chemistry nor can they deliver the current you will need for the Proteus VV module.

Go for the AW IMR 14500 batteries or the Sony US14500. We did a big battery test recently in a German forum and these are about equal good (AW has a bit more capacity, Sony is usually a bit cheaper).

Hi Imeo!
Are you still trying to get Penelope to go wickless?

Thanks,

Chris

There are good reviews about the battery TrustFire FLAME 14500 900 mAh.

Are they suitable for Proteus?
Imeo, what do you think about this?
I have already ordered these batteries, but now doubt it.:)

Im pretty sure that P&P require a high drain battery to work with the VV in proteus... I believe Imeo has said that he recommends the AW IMR 14500 for P&P....

Good doubts! One easy rule: Don't trust fire :)
As easy as that.

Actually there are very few areas in vaping where these batteries have an advantage over IMR high drain batteries. You want vapor, you want throat hit, you have a variable volt device and you're going to use it. 8-12 Watts on your atty may result in 3 or more Amps on your battery. This is when you really need high drain batteries. You may be able to use those trustfire ones safely, but there won't be much joy. That's a promise.

Easy choice is AW IMR.
IMHO the smarter choice are the Sonys that Manni mentioned. Mostly for monetary reasons, but also availability. AW has impressive production capacities for a one man show. But we have seen shortages in the past.
Imagine what's going to happen when P&P come out. 2200 proteus all over the world that need at least two 14500 batteries each and most of their owners will go for AW because Imeo recommends them.

And there is at least one other 14500 vaping system of another manufacturer that is going to have a similar release date which is not going to make things easier.

Looks like a good chance we'll see a AW IMR shortage ....

Thanks Capt. For the info, it helped clear things up a bit. I knew that p&p was going to be sold as a whole, I just had wishful thinking that Penelope would be sold separately on launch day. Just bought my very first ggts and I think i would be in the "dog-house" if my old lady found out I got another pv. Hehe

You are in San Fran....take her to Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park. Great place and great atmosphere. Instant "Get out of the doghouse".

Very true!! That's why I just ordered my 8 AW IMR's. They will be scarce for a while once we see P&P.
