Dimensions DNA12 1.6 x 2.0 x 0.7 cm

Today I bought a couple of pieces, just in case
Glad to help rwechsler! :) Dimension wise the DNA might not fit but I wouldn't want to rule out the possibility for a custom version from Evolv. Presumably Imeo knew the reputation of the Darwin when he made the decision about the electronics ;)

I dont see why he wouldnt use a product that would do what he wants. Why are we passive aggressively dogging a piece of new equipment that i cant imagine too many people have seen as not being Imeo or GG worthy?

Im not saying the DNA does what Imeo wants, but since Imeo has said he is looking outside for electronics, i dont see why considering that he MIGHT use the DNA would be so outlandish.

Has Imeo posted who he is using and why? Has he posted exactly what he wants with the electronics? All i remember reading is what he was planning on doing, not on what he might do or might consider.

saying it isnt a "remote possibility" i think handicaps the possibilities for what Imeo may do. Saying a definitive NO to anything only seems to put Imeo in a box for his ideas, and i think Imeo of all makers out there prides himself on being able to look anywhere and everywhere for his inspiration. Saying definitive "no"'s to any thing i believe is not in his nature as a designer.

Unless Imeo says what is confirmed or not, i wouldnt put ANYTHING passed him for consideration. THAT is why what he does is such a benefit to us all and the community as a whole.

Whatever, it doesnt matter.

Simple, It's not what Imeo does.

Hey!

I'm preparing the stock of batteries and I found the Trustfire Protected 14500 Battery 900 mAH. Will these batteries fit Proteus? Are they worst than the AW IMR14500?

Thanks!

they may fit, but they're not the the AW IMR14500 batteries that the P&P is designed for. the protection circuit on those ***fire batteries will probably not allow the circuit of the proteus to deliver anything beyond 2.5A...but not positive of this. bottom line, get the AW IMR batteries, you'll ultimately be happier you did.

As mentioned before we have a big batterytest going on in a german forum. Apart from written information you find the usual curves there and that should say enough about the various batteries.
The Sony14500V, which I bought for P&P, arrived today at the testers house so the data will be in the curves soon.

In the 14500 curves (2A, 3A, 5A) you can see that with a load of 2A all batteries are more or less equal (sadly this isn't the amperage we will use with P&P). If you look at the 3A curve you see that most batteries start dropping out and in the 5A curve you see that only the AW, Dampfstrom (which is a custom made battery for the mentioned forum) and I am pretty sure the Sony cell will not drop out on that load (5A is out of specification for all of these cells).
Anyways, use only IMR batteries for P&P.

Edit: There is also a thread about that test here on ECF: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-battery-graphs-german-forum.html#post6075066
I know from secure sources that the thread opener would be happy to see some posts/questions or feedback in that post! ;)

Every one makes his choices thejager. I dont want to fit an electronic on GG just because someone made it. If that was the case I would ask China to make one for me. But I dont do it for a simple reason. Its because I always first make the GG as I like it and then I fit the electronic part in it.
The other reason is that I want to make it my own way. If you had read previous threads, my button will be mechanical, something that doesnt exist on e-cig world and maybe nowhere in the world.
One more reason is that PP will have a fuse, something that I dont see in e.g. provari.
Another reason is that I want to make it as small as I want
another reason is that the way I am making will apply to VIR too.
One more reason is that the dimentions of any other electronic part will not fit in PP because I try to earn even 1 mm when I design the parts.
Another reason is that I dont know the quality of those parts
One more reason is that I hate soldering. Electronic parts of PP will go in and out by the user in a very simple way
The last reason is that GG is unique and it will stay that way:)

This is why I absolutely love GG stuff. I dont want a copy of something that was copied off another copy I want something original and there are very few things in this world made with the philosophy that Imeo has and that is what makes the GG special.

I am busting to get my hands on my P&P and those few scraps you threw us there Imeo are very welcome!

ManniGfaltig,

I ordered the Sony US14500V as well, because those are offered with 5A, 7A peak and 680mAh - example (sorry all other: its in German)
Batt Energy Shop - Sony US14500V Lithium-Mangan-Akku 3,7V 680mAh

only place you can get any information about those cells seems to be from the same site that you guys are buying the sonys from and some other german sites, unless you want the chinese sources. panasonic officially makes two "NCR" batteries in the 18650 size, and one in the 18500 size. the PD is not listed. but for general reference the "NCR" batteries are nickel cobalt cathodes, which compared to manganese spinel cathodes (IMR) of the same size, will have longer overall runtimes, but shorter actual vaping time to cut-off (3.5V).
