Hi Guys, got a quick question.
Is it ok to build the coil with resistant wire only or the non-resistant part is obligatory?
Thanks!
I haven't tried it and I won't. It might be too long to get a usable resistance and if you could use it, I'm pretty sure it would fry the wick. On something like a genesis you can get away with it because the terminals are close to the where you use them on the wick. On the Penelope you go all the way to the bottom to get to the positive terminal. That's a long way when you're talking about heated resistance. You can get 30GA .999 fine silver wire relatively cheap on ebay. That will work for the NR part.
Thanks! What I found over here is low resistance wire (2.5 ohm / meter) - do you think it would do? As for the resistance one I would use 63 ohm / meter version (or you suggest something else?)
Just make sure it is real silver. Some shops say "silver wire" just because it has silver color. Do not use copper.

There's an ECF member that suggested using a cigar case - she uses a 3-finger case for xl cigars. I can't find the thread right now, but here's a link to some cases on ebay: cigar case | eBayDid you find some that fits? I would like cases for both P&P and for the ody&GGTS.
Please post some links if you have any.

I was just looking at the Cohiba - did you make a custom foam insert for it? Also, did you disconnect the hygrometer? As well as this modified humidor from Cohiba...
